Gadar 2 - The Katha Continues Craze In Small Cinemas

The craze of Gadar 2 can be seen from the numbers below of a run down cinema in Ludhiana which hardly collects. Preet Palace in Ludhiana used to be one of the main single screen in the city but today it has become a cinema where most films will not even collect 10k in a week and the biggest blockbusters may get to 70-75k in the first week. Although Ludhiana is an A centre the cinema here is pretty much like a rundown small cinema in a C centre.

In this cinema Gadar 2 - The Katha Continues has collected 1.5 lakhs on Sunday alone. This is what is happening with Gadar 2 - The Katha Contines across the Hindi mass markets. Cinemas which were just forgotten about are actually giving collections and this was not seen with Bahubali - The Conclusion, KGF 2 or Pathaan. The films from teh South had been stronger with the mass in Maharashtra but on Sunday Gadar 2 has caught up in those markets as well.

When these cinemas collect it means something is happening as the bigger cinemas have a clientele anyway which will come when a film is a good. To get the public into these Preet Palace type of cinemas is a different story all together and the movie has to be special. As has been mentioned before when those bottom 1000 cinemas collect for a film in the distributors excel then nothing can stop the film. Below are the Preet Palace Ludhiana collections for Sunday.

10am - 30,500

1pm - 40,000

4pm - 40,000

7pm - 43,100

TOTAL - 1,53,600 (Three Day Total 3,04,300)
