Well, TB was a romance drama while Mein isn't. Starting from the promo it is very clear it isn't a romance genre and most probably will be depressing and sad ending..We shouldn't try to find chemistry in these kinda shows that's not the crux of the show isn't it?
On a brighter side, m sure mein will have a better storyline and message . On the other hand we shouldn't find logic and message in Romance genre where romance is the highlight..
