I'm starting to wonder if Bhoomi is the mastermind. Maybe Prem did have an affair and she ended up taking revenge but getting him in trouble and kicked out of the business while pretending to know nothing about the investigation. Now that she's back with her kids she can get in the business through Yuvika at some point.
