I don't think the makers will go that way, but one of the theories being floated around is that the King's killer is indeed Dhruv, but from a parallel universe 😲
Bold- Kanneda? 😃
Nice set of languages to know 😊- pretty much covers every place apart from South India.
Personally, I wouldn't term H/U as very different unless they opt for very specific vocab. D-T is one such rare show though- some of the 17th century vocab is even tough for me to get at first watch 😆
If you haven't seen it, Kohrra on Netflix might be a decent watch. Story set in Punjab. Has Barun Sobti (the reason I watched it in the first place). Sobti isn't the chief character through- Suvinder Vicky is, and there's a fair bit of Punjabi in it. If you've watched Udaariyaan, the Jass character from there is in Kohrra too.
In terms of storyline, slightly weak IMO (I guessed the twist in the first episode). But everyone is a grey character of sorts. Not exactly a very happy web series though, but fairly realistic. 2.5/5 for me; probably bumpable to 3 under certain circumstances. Made by the same PH (Anushka and her brother) which did Paatal Lok.
Yup born and raised as a fourth generation Canuck (both parents ancestors came to Canada back in 1840 or so). We do visit India but not as often as we would like as our family is in Canada and USA but we do have distant relatives so we go there maybe every 3-4 years.
I love languages and am a polyglot. Apart from French, I am fluent in Spanish, Latin, German, and Japanese. At one point I wanted to learn all the languages in the world but that is a dream which hopefully one day maybe fulfilled.
South Indian languages? I wish I could learn at least one but I never actively looked for opportunities either which is on me totally.
Hindi I learnt by watching those horrible shows that my mother used to watch. So I am not very good at it but I can get by. My Urdu is better than my Hindi.
Kohrra is on my list, I heard Sobti is good in that. I don't like Sobti per se after watching him as ASR but I am willing to give him benefit of the doubt as he is older now and may have evolved as an actor. His enunciation is terrible, he mumbles and I can't understand him. I don't like that - when I watch a show or movie I need the actors to speak well so I can understand what they are saying.
What else can you recommend? I am pausing on DT for the moment, I don't like typical ITV BS where MU, hatred and all that crap and then they want us to believe it's true love.
This user's thoughts on D-Ayesha (Twitter thread link below) aren't too dissimilar to mine 😆
BTW, one of the users in the replies has mentioned D said something on the lines of "tumhe na kehne ki chubhan mere dil mein bhi hai" 😲
Probably coz I didn't watch the earlier episodes with an eagle eye, but that's an interesting dialogue.
I was of the same mindset, I don't think he would have had this intense love that he is currently feeling for Tara but it would have been a comfortable relationship.
He did say that and also said that he knows what he is missing out as well. I think he may have cared for her and probably felt infatuated but I don't think it was mad love. Why? if he truly loved Ayesha like he does Tara, he would have not cared who is upset. He is shown to be stubborn and we have seen it how he just didn't let go when even Tara told him to leave but he fought and fought till he won. In 21st century his mother hated Tara he knew that and he still supported her at every chance he got rather than leave her alone and focus on his work and life and his dream of Canada.
That tells me that if he genuinely loved Ayesha he would have fought for her and done anything to be with her. I think the fact that he so easily backed off, shows his care was there but not love. Ayesha was an idiot marrying for dard ka rista or whatever BS she was peddling. That promise was his stupidity and hers was believing that he will never fall for anyone or marry. I wonder if that may create issues later with DT once they are back in 21st century although I don't think Tara cares much for things like that.
The other thing I did not like was how as a married woman Ayesha was emotionally cheating. She would wander around him all the time and how come no one figured it out? her taunts weren't that subtle either so I am curious why no one thought that she has some issues?
I do think him and Tara are one of those destined lovers who defy time and century and only if the silly makers don't give us all the crap they are planning to make us view, it can be a great story.

17th century wale pagal ho gaye hai 🤢
Dumbkumar Dhruv ko mar raha hai tum mere pitashree ke katil ho tumne unhe hamse hamesha ke liye alag kar diya bolkar ( aur tere pitashree ki wajah se Dhruv ko bachpn se papa ka pyar nahi mila uska kya 😡) muze to lagta hai is bar queen Dhruv ko 100 slaps to mar hi degi 😪
Anusiya us Tillu ka gala daba rahi hai use blame kar rahi hai dasi hokar queen ban gayi blah blah are itna hi hai to mahaveer ko mar jakar shadi ki bewkufi usne ki thi na
Where did you see this?
See this is what pisses me off that both DT know the curse and know things are going to be hard then why can't that be considered as a pre warning. Tara better support Dhruv this time, I will be so angry if she does not. She has to show that for her the love matters and don't let that Samrat beat them.
What? Anusiya strangled Tilotima? Wow!!!! Anusiya is a she cat huh? didn't think she had in her but that's cool meaning she can handle Jay and his stupid tantrums lol. She can tell him to shut up when he starts whining like a child and put a stop to that.
This is me too - she has one chance and if she does not use it then I will be the first one here to call her out on that. I did give Dhruv time to handle his anger and I will do the same for Tara to mourn her dad but that's it then its thinking time and she better support him.
Same regarding Ayesha - she emotionally cheated on Jay and I can never like her for that. She was also always hanging around Dhruv which I found creepy for a married woman. Call me conservative but once you marry you stay loyal to your partner or you don't marry or divorce him. Cheating of any kind is a big no no and a deal breaker. If you are single go for it do whatever the heck you want but once you get married then game over, that's why I guess I was happy when she decided to divorce Jay as that was a bad relationship.
My theory at this point will be that Tara will not support Dhruv initially, but will support him later. (Don't ask how much later though 😛)
This will however put them against her brother, and possibly even her mother, with the likes of Tillu adding fuel to the fire.
I am thinking the same thing here and maybe that can be an exit strategy to leave 17century for good. She will support him I know but I don't know when and how. That unknown is bothering me like anything.
I don't care honestly if mum brother and his wife don't want to support Tara she has Dhruv and that matters. Although whilst the brother is somewhat smart, he figured out a way to overcome that babaji's first curse so thats a credit to him and his thinking.
1% on writer that he/she won't spoil this Couple.
then my logical mind is telling me that this kind of treatment might compelled Dhruv to Withdraw his name or take that official Paper and may be that will reset his identity in 21st century..
may be A comeback of practical Dr Dhruv Saxena 🤞 (bcz I'm tired of watching 17th century🥱)
I sincerely hope they don't spoil the couple.
I don't think logically he can withdraw his name, but what I want is them out of the 17th century for good and settle in 21st century. I have had it with 17th century too and I want to see them struggle together in the current era and how do they overcome that.
Dhruv needs to stay Dhruv, I won't like his personality to be reversed again as that will mean his growth as a guy who believed in god and destiny is broken and that would be going backwards. What I want is for him and TARA to be overcoming issues. Let's see how it unfolds which is a pain in the b**t thing at the moment.
Tara and Bhaiji's connection is still there- she feels uneasy when he fills Tillu's maang with blood. But she gets distracted on seeing Dhruv (is this potentially the sign of D-T vs Bhaiji in the future or am I reading too much into it 😕)
I think you are on the right track here and I think that can be a future thing where she will be with Dhruv in supporting him vs her brother. I rather have that anyway so that's a good prediction.
Susheela blesses D-T, saying that unki jodi humesha bani rahe aur salamat rahe. D-T remember the Rishi's words and look at each other.
Dhruv tells Tara that he cannot live without his family but cannot live without Tara either. Says they must find the Maharishi- he will have a solution to this. This shows that mother's and gods blessing are paramount compared to the dumb curse of a dumb babaji and there should be a way to overcome it. Forget babaji he is an idiot they should figure it out themselves I think as they both have the smarts they just need to use it.

Idiot Mahaveer 🤪
That was such a bad move and in this Tara drama we can't even properly empathise with Anusiya whose only fault was loving an idiot.
What is this maang filling anyway? He is a prince, kill the ex fiance and give reward to Titotima and give her a permanent job in the palace. Why does she have to marry anyway? I get it that its 17th century but when has any of those people have done things properly that they are starting it out now?
