Atomonis, you never answered my question. You have time for all these research but you don't have time to answer me.
I responded to your OWN post asking about Sushmita and citation about who criticised her.
Now you pretend you are focused on topic title and did not ask about reference for criticism Sushmita got?
Slow claps.
Way to pretend to miss the point just because you dislike TM or have issues with some posts in other threads.
The use of GIFs says it all about your intention.
Which question? Did you ask one in this thread?
I have not seen any question from you yet. Sorry if I missed your post in this thread.
Or is it any other thread where you asked?

I'm sorry atominis, if you can like Korea and can write paragraphs and essays about it then why can't I like India even if I'm not indian?
This one. I asked you in CC but didn't get any reply. I hope I get my answer here.

When did I say I represented 'mainstream' queer POV?
Also who decides what is mainstream or not?
You? Who is also dismissing articles, comments and posts by accounts actually run by LGBTQIA folks?
Anyway I realise it was a mistake to debate this topic here because most here are probably cis het themselves and nit sexual minorities. So they do not think it is a big deal at all.
Or think RS, Ayushmaan, Rajkumar, Sushmita, Bhumi, Manoj, Ashutosh et al can dress anyway they want or do any role and it is all good.
This topic was better suited for a forum filled with more of sexual minority communities itself and their perspective.
Discussing it here is like discussing about misogyny and representation of women in a manosphere forum.
Anyway good for you to flaunt your brain. You indeed have great one.
But stop acting like only you have it and no one else does or others post without any citation or source or reference at all.
I knew you would dismiss links once I post them.
Same way as other members dismissed links of pieces I shared in previous pages about criticism Ayushmaan got for his so called gender fluid mag cover.

Please quote and address points.
Your paraphrasing and misinterpreting is getting out of hand.
I’m sorry but you can’t throw a hissy fit just because 99% of us disagree with you. Your opening post talks about Ranveer in a bra and dancing to dola re which is apparently a queer trait. But when I pointed out there are woman dancing to a Malhari in men’s shirts or oversized hoodies, that’s not women queer baiting? I’m done going around in circles. I never ever thought the day would come where i’d be defending cishet men, but here we are.😆

Again, I respond to your post without already having read the comments...
I never gave it a second thought, I just enjoyed his out-of-the-box style.
I don't think, Ranveer is gay or bi or whatever...I know boys and (straight) men who just like it colourful and crazy and I always liked that Indian like it colourful, too. It also reminds me of times where it wasn't only fancy that men sport long hair, jewellery and colourful clothes but also fashionable.
It was more his (to my eyes forced) overemotional/overenergetic behaviour that bothered me (for him, not for me, as it let me think of frequent coke-using - which may have happened or not).
A lot of desi men especially always used to wear colourful clothes before colonialism.
After that the Indian dressing norms changed especially in urban areas, academic and professional spaces.
I never made remarks about RS' own orientation. IDK and do not even want to know what his orientation is.
I always found RS too hyper, attention seeker, wannabe and almost fake in his show of excitement, extroversion.
He is also too clingy and hugs too much.
When he cried at an award show he seemed fake.
I personally think he dressed normal earlier but when his films began flopping and BBB craze fizzled, he began all these attention seeking antics of dressing in a certain way, doing hyper emotional antics to look funny or enthusiastic.
He has also used his relationship with Deepika to the hilt to get publicity.
Though Indian men also wear jewellery and royal men also used to wear jewels, RS is the first Indian male celeb to wear jewellery himself in a jewellery brand ad. Otherwise we had Akshay, SRK, Amitabh, Nagarjuna, Anil etc endorse jewellery brands but they were shown buying jewels for women in their families or as jewellers themselves in ads rather than wearing jewellery themselves or buying jewels for self, the way Ranveer is seen wearing jewellery himself in Tiffany's campaign.
In a way he is making choices by design to form a certain image and look like iconoclast or breaking norms of traditional masculinity and challenging heteronormativity or promoting a certain aesthetic.
This is the only way he has managed to carve a niche or stand out, compared to other star kids or heroes. And has his own unique image which is unlike any other hero in Indian cinema from past or present.
Good for him though. His strategy has made him subject of research papers and essays on masculinity and queer theory. I posted few links of such stuff in this thread earlier.

I have been entrapped into so many posts defending my nemesis Ranveer. But I guess he's kenough.
I did not write essays on Korea at all.
I just shared some links of what I read and saw of them.
I do not follow CC. So sorry for missing your post.
Sure you can write about India. Who stopped you?
I just disagreed with your line accusing me of hating India just because I criticised remakes, plagiarism in content here and male actors paying attention to looks and fitness only in last 3 decades but ignoring it earlier.
You can write what you want. But accusing someone of India hate is just off the mark when that person is Indian herself.
Hope that answers your question.
