CHAPTER 6 - DEVGURU, AN INFLUENCER

Shiv Temple

Tara visits a temple to take help from getting rid of those spirits. She notices a beautiful lake besides the temple, that is full of lotus flowers.

She looks at some priests who is pouring some milk and water in the lake. She asked one of them the reason for doing so.

One of them replied that this water and milk are used to wash god's idol. We don't want to waste them as they are pure.

Another priest said that the flowers would repels negative energy because of the water's power. She also looks at some children taking flowers from water.

Tara thinks, "Yug might have taken the lotus from this lake. This is why the ghost lady's powers weren't working on me."

She thanks the god for their almighty and leaves.

On her way, various thoughts pondered in Tara's mind.

She thinks, "Why did Shyamli speak like a mentally unstable woman though she was a psychiatrist. Why would she fall into a well? And her murder is unbelievable. Also, I don't know why do I think the ghost is Vidya aunty's daughter. Afterall she is in London but the face is like..."

Monsoon Cottage

Dhruv brought a sorcerer to spell mantras on ghost and to control them.

Vidya asks, "What is happening here?"

Dhruv – "Aunty, we are creating a special puja to get rid of negativity. Also for your well-being."

Yug is confused.

Dhruv in his mind, "Of course the spirit would get rid of this house."

Dhruv and Vidya set all the arrangements for the puja.

Tara reached home and she comes to know ghost-rid pooja from Dhruv and gives thumbs-up.

The sorcerer sets up havan.

As soon as he starts to recite mantras, the spirits Vishwanath, Mamta, Iti and Shivraj starts to fall for his spell.

Iti – "Yug, please save us from this sorcerer. We want to exact our revenge. We could not bear his powers. It's controlling us."

Yug has no idea what to do now. Mamta, Shivraj, Iti and Vishwanath appeared in front of Yug, Tara and Dhruv.

Tara and Dhruv are shocked.

Tara looks at Mamta and says to Dhruv, "I think she was the one who attacked me in storeroom."

Dhruv is horrified. Mamta smirks at them.

Iti holds Yug's hands and Yug did the same.

Tara gets shocked to see Yug holding Iti.

Dhruv goes and separate Yug from Iti. Vidya is shocked to see the four spirits. Vidya shouts, "Mamta...."

Mamta looks at her in pain.

Vidya faints.

Mamta and Vishwanath managed to overpower the sorcerer and spoils the havan by spilling water. Shivraj holds his hands so that he could not take any magical powder to control them. Iti changes her face into horrific one.

Mamta warns, "If you didn't leave from this house, your family would be found dead."

The sorcerer runs from there.

Tara spills some water on Vidya to wake her up whose head is lying on Dhruv's lap. Mamta and Vishwanath come near her.

Tara interrupts stretching her hands wide like shield says, "Don't ever try to harm our Vidya aunty. You might have attacked me or the sorcerer but not Vidya aunty or Yug."

Tara's face becomes red.

Yug says, "They are good spirits, mom."

Dhruv asks Yug to keep quiet.

Vishwanath says, "Please let Vidya wake up, Tara."

Tara didn't mind them and looks at her. She slowly gets her consciousness. Vidya looks at Dhruv and Tara and caressed their face with dullness. After looking at Vishwanath and Mamta, Vidya rubs her eyes and confirms their presence.

They aren't vanished. Vidya tears and hugs Mamta.

Vidya – "Mamta, are you back from London with your father?"

Tara is about to say that she is a spirit but Dhruv keeps hands in her mouth.

Dhruv – "Aunty, is she your daughter Mamta?"

Vidya nods with smile and introduces Dhruv and Tara to Mamta and Vishwanath.

Dhruv looks at Iti and Shivraj and says, "Why are you hiding behind the pillar? Vidya aunty, who are these guys?"

Vidya says, I don't know them both."

Yug – "They.."

Tara asks him to stay quiet.

Mamta – "Tara, let him say."

Yug – "She is my best friend Iti and this uncle's name is Shivraj, we call him Devguru."

Dhruv – "We..?"

Shivraj – "Yug is related to us."

Tara and Dhruv are shocked.

Dhruv – "Mr. Shivraj, just mind your words. he is our son, Yug. Don't create fake relations. Just because you are spirits, don't be overconfident that we humans could do nothing against you."

Shivraj – "Trust me, Dhruv and Tara. We are indirectly related to Vidya, Vishwanath and even Mamta."

Mamta – "Tara, I'm extremely sorry for what happened yesterday night. I swear we don't harm any innocents. We just want fulfill our revenge."

Tara – "How could we believe you? You killed Dr. Saveer and Dr.Shyamli who treated Vidya aunty. And Vidya aunty don't even remember Shivraj and Iti. You spelled some magic even on my son, Yug. Mamta, being a daughter, you are not interested in your mom's well-being."

Vidya says, "Tara, please..." in a low tone.

Mamta – "Ma, you shall rest in your room. We won't fight anymore."

Tara, Dhruv and Mamta take Vidya to her room and make her lie on her bed. She sleeps.

They came outside.

Tara says, "First of all, tell me how are you all related to Yug? We saw him in Mumbai and we adopted him but Iti and you are in Ooty. How could you relate each other first?"

Shivraj says, "Yug, Iti and I belongs to Ooty."

He continues telling his story.

5 years back, Shivraj was a renowned doctor in Australia with an Indian native. He and his friend Dr. Sanjay (Sanket Chouksey) came to Tamilnadu for a vacation. When they were driving a car, they met with an accident. Due to high force, Shivraj came out of his car and he was heavily injured. Sanjay was partially injured who saw Shivraj and took CPR from car and tested him but his breathe rate was too low to bring to normal. Sanjeev anxiously went to his car to take something. Lying on the road, Shivraj saw a temple near the forest area where the god idol becomes real and blessed him and gave some energy. So, he could stand and without his control I prayed her. Sanjay was in shock that he could walk in spite of the injury.

He said that it was a miracle but Shivraj said that its god's grace. This incident has changed Shivraj's life as he left his profession and devoted himself to god like a pure saint. Then, one day in Shivraj's dream, Goddess appeared and she said that she took a small girl's avatar and ordered him to recognize her so that the world would get peace from jealousy, hate and vex. After that dream, he thought that he was Goddess's representative and became more spiritual and resolute to find the girl. Two years passed like this. Shivraj got very famous in Tamilnadu which led him to have his own ashrams in various districts. He was fondly called as Devguru.

Yug interrupted.

Yug says, "But this is just his sudden illusion and because of his illusion, he lost everything and even his life."

Iti continued her story.

Iti is the daughter of a rich businessman Pankaj and Sadhna. When she was seven, Iti's mom died in a fire accident in front of her. It affected Iti a lot that she becomes partially mute. My father treated everywhere but the medicines didn't work on her. One day, when Pankaj took Iti to Mahabalipuram Shore Temple, he made Iti's picture get drawn by an artist who is near a Shiv Temple. Since Iti got unconscious, Pankaj left immediately with Iti without getting the picture. The artist thew the picture in the Shiv Temple's river.

Shivraj got depressed that he couldn't recognize the Goddess's avatar. So, he decided to immerse himself in the same Shiv Temple's river on the same day when Pankaj got Iti drawn. When he went underwater, Iti's picture swam into his face. Shivraj took the picture and he assumed that Iti is Goddess's new avatar.

When Iti celebrated her 8th birthday, Yug met her and he helped Iti smile and made her speak.

Shivraj started looking for Iti in all the districts. When he come Ooty, he found Iti.

Shivraj pleaded Pankaj to return Iti to him making him understand that she is not an ordinary girl but a Goddess's avatar. Pankaj refused clearly as he doesn't believe in such things. Shivraj didn't compel him anymore instead he decided to prove Pankaj that Iti is a Goddess and so Pankaj will give Iti to him.

Shivraj – "Then came a devil in the form of Bhavini."

Bhavini was a successful businesswoman and when she came to him for seeking blessings, she understood that Shivraj gets a lot of money in the name of donations per day. Bhavini is highly impressed with this. Bhavini decided to use Devguru's faith to cash money more by expanding it. Bhavini left her business to her family and joined as Devguru's assistant after impressing him with her devotion towards God. Bhavini's boyfriend Abeer (Ayub Khan) too joined in his ashram.

After Bhavini's entry, donations increased a lot. Shivraj advised her to send them to orphanage homes but Bhavini and Abeer looted all the money without anyone's notice. They received a hefty amount summing up all the ashram's branches.

Shivraj - "I was so dumb that I even lost my thinking ability. I am ashamed to say this but this was true."

Bhavini and Abeer are aware that Iti's arrival will yield a lot of money and it will triple the amount of whatever they were getting till then. So they played dirty enough to drag Iti into the ashram by kidnapping her. Bhavini killed Pankaj with her goons when he resisted. She used LCD Projector and projected Iti's mom talking to her in spirit form compelling to accept that she is a goddess. Poor Iti believed it.

Yug – "We, initially thought Shivraj was a cruel man but moreover he is lost for Goddess thoughts. Her dad and I managed to save Iti from Shivraj's spiritual beliefs, but Bhavini used technology to bring Iti to ashram. By using Projector, she has shown Iti's mom in the wall asking her to go with Shivraj. Poor Iti believed that it was her mom's spirit. Still Pankaj uncle didn't let her. Bhavini used some goons and killed Pankaj uncle. Iti got into the ashram. She suffered a lot because of Bhavini but Shivraj don't have any idea of whatever Iti went through. He respected Iti as a god but he trusted Bhavini blindly."

Iti – "Finally, there comes a sunrise in our lives. Shivraj came to know that I am not devi and these dreams are his own hallucinations. Though I suffered a lot, Shivraj was like a father to me and he was kind to me. We shared a special bond. During that time, Yug and I ran away from the ashram. They suspected that Yug might have rescued me and Abeer even killed Yug's parents and his sister. Yug's house is quite nearer from here and there are still blood stains in his house. But no police investigation or justice to us due to Bhavini's influence. Still the house has blood stains. We couldn't even mourn for their death as Bhavini's men are near Yug's house during the last rites."

Yug and Iti cries.

Shivraj – "It was all because of me, I rescued them both and I took responsibility of raising them. I managed to file a complaint in Police Station against Bhavini, Abir and her supporters. Without politics, they are arrested successfully because my words had power that time. But we don't have money to lead our life nor food to live. Vidya and Vishwanath gave refuge for us three."

Shivraj cries and Vishwanath hugs Shivraj. Iti and Yug too cries.

Tara and Dhruv goes speechless, "Your relationship is seriously complex. But what is the revenge or who is the reason for your death?"

The four says, "Sanjeev."

California

Sanjeev receives award for the "Best Youth Icon of the year".

He gives a small speech motivating the young people and narrated his success story.

Though it was a business award function, weirdly, many girls whistled for him shouting his name. After the ceremony, Sanjeev is to enter the car. Many girls surrounded him for an autograph. He politely ignores them and enters his car.

He ringed his PA, "Just listen. Book a flight ticket for 13 people including me to Coimbatore immediately. I'll send the twelve girl's details soon. And also inform three cabs for my travel to Ooty after my return to Chennai. Book a return ticket only for me after 5 days."

He hangs up.

He thinks, "Past effects. Time to use Garry now." He smirks.

CHAPTER 7 - THE DARK PAST

Night 8.00 PM
Coimbatore International Airport

Sanjeev arrives with his 12 girlfriends. Three cars come and he gets into one car and his 12 girlfriends gets into other two cars. Three of the cars start riding towards Ooty and stops at a five-star hotel. The girls gets into the hotel.

Sanjeev thinks, "It's too late now. I have to go home."

Sanjeev drives his car to his house.

Sanjeev rings his PA and says, "I have selected a wrong person to treat my mother. That useless creature Yug is with Tara-Dhruv unfortunately. What if my mom remembers Yug and creates senseless dramas?"

He hits the steering wheel in anger.

Monsoon Cottage

Vidya wakes up after sleeping for the past three hours. Devguru, Mamta, Vishwanath, Tara, Dhruv, Iti and Yug are in the balcony with anxiousness. Tara and Dhruv could not come from the shock how Yug is linked with the weird house and Iti. Vidya comes to balcony. Vishwanath and others see her with nervousness.

Vidya – "No need to hide from me anymore. I know Vishwanath, my husband; Mamta, my daughter and bloodless relations Yug, Iti and Shivraj are dead two years back."

Tara and Dhruv feared that Vidya may fall down due to grief.

Vidya sensed the fear in their mind, "Dhruv Tara, don't worry. I'm fine now."

Dhruv asks Vidya to sit. She sits with Vishwanath.

Mamta – "Mom, do you think Sanjeev desired to live as your son?"

Vidya wipes her tears – "No, he is not my son anymore."

Vidya lies on Vishwanath's shoulder and weeps.

Tara – "Mamta di, what happened to you all? How did you die? Why did you kill both the doctors? Would you leave us fine?"

Yug – "Ma.. they won't harm you."

Sanjeev's car got punctured in the middle of the road. He is frustrated and kicked his car. He wondered if there are any mechanics.

Monsoon Cottage

Mamta – "Tara and Dhruv, you must be knowing about this house as the parents of Yug."

Tara and Dhruv looks at Mamta.

Mamta- "Four years back...."

Four years back, Sanjeev was a very disciplined guy who is the university topper. He is not only good-looking and physically fit, he is also intelligent and clever. He was strictly devoted to his parents and considered them as his god. Vidya and Vishwanath's upbringing was very strong in him. He is very controlled. A lot of girls in his locality used to develop romantic feelings for him but he wasn't into any girl. When he was in his final year of his college, he took a loan from the bank for his business.

Vidya was a diabetes and arthritis patient and Vishwanath too was affected by diabetes. Sanjeev seek permission from Vidya and Vishwanath to leave abroad for his business. They got convinced because he assured that he would take them too for abroad as it was difficult for them to live with illness. It was the time when the cottage business was going dull. After his departure to USA, his conversation with Vidya and Vishwanath gradually.

After a year, Vidya fell down in the bathroom due to her carelessness at night. Vidya could not stand up. Vishwanath too had slept early due to the effect of medicines. Vidya suffered throughout night. Only at morning, Vishwanath saw Vidya's condition only in morning. Vishwanath feared even more because there is no one to look after them as they were old.

Then Vishwanath and Vidya adopted an 18 years old girl from an orphanage to look after Vidya initially. They named her Mamta as she is the source of motherly love. She took care of them well and bonded with them strongly within 6 months. Mamta filled the void of Sanjeev in the house. She kept them couple happy. Vidya and Vishwanath understood from her that even people who may not share the same blood as them but share the same heart. Vidya and Vishwanath were proud of their decision to adopt Mamta Meanwhile Sanjeev lost contact with Vidya and Vishwanath.

Vishwanath – "We got to know about Devguru, Iti and Yug story. Though we don't believe in him, we are more spiritual. We admire him for his respect for all religions and beliefs. He respects people's feelings and that's why he got placed in millions of people's heart. After knowing that he was betrayed by Bhavini and the kid's parents are brutally murdered by her goons, we don't want to spoil the children's education and life because of elder's misunderstandings. So, we gave a rescue for them too. It's like something our house got a light because of Devguru's entry. Vidya and I accepted Shivraj as our son and Iti and Yug as our grandchildren. We wished to see Sanjeev's children playing with us but that is compensated by Yug and Iti."

Vishwanath becomes emotional and cries. Yug and Iti hugs them.

1 year back

Sanjeev returned from USA. He was totally different from how he had been in Ooty. He was wearing a formal three-piece suit and speaks in English with American accent. Like every typical Indian parent, Vidya and Vishwanath were happy of his return and his privileged status. But the foreign life and western culture had changed Sanjeev completely as they found him more strong-headed. Vidya and Vishwanath ignored it as it is a part of western culture. They welcomed him warmly and introduced Mamta, Iti, Yug, Vishwanath and Shivraj to him. But he wasn't interested in them and ignored them.

After some days,

Vishwanath and Sanjeev had random conversations in the dinner hall. They were discussing about the beauty of non-blood relations.

Sanjeev deviated from the topic and started a conversation.

Sanjeev: Dad, I want to discuss something important with you.

Vishwanath: Yeah Sanjeev. But have your dinner first. Mom has cooked your favorite food. Have it, beta.

Mamta and Vidya served him.

Sanjeev: My business is undergoing loss now. If it prolonged, my company will get closed. So I need money for my company.

Vishwanath: No problem, Sanjeev. There is 2.5 lakhs in my bank account. You can withdraw tomorrow.

Sanjeev: Dad, the problem is... Okay. Let me come to the matter straight. I wish to sell this cottage for money. In fact, it is also benefiting you. And sorry to say... I have already withdrawn the 2.5 lakhs.

Vishwanath: Oh. It's okay. But we can't sell this as it is our cultural legacy. We shall try for bank loan?

Sanjeev gets frustrated and throws the plate in anger leaving the whole family members shocked.

Sanjeev: None of the banks are ready to give loan for me to gamble. Yes, I accept. It's not business loss and it's all about gambling. I lost all my money in that. Now I have nothing. I don't have any other choice other than selling this house. You can stay in orphanage home for some months. I'll take you to abroad after some years.

Vishwanath slaps him.

Vishwanath: Is that all you were doing in US? Gambling... Shame on you. And you are asking us to stay in Orphanage homes? Then where could Mamta, Devguru and these two young children go?

Sanjeev: Afterall these guys are from orphanage homes. Leave these guys in streets. They'd get a life.

Vidya too slaps him.

Vidya: Leave your brother, sister, nephew and niece in streets. Really?

Sanjeev: No one considers me as a thing now a days.

Sanjeev starts shouting. He takes a small paper roll from his pocket and smelled it. It smelled weird and stinky.

Mamta: Sanjeev, brother, please behave yourself. You should not talk to your parents like this.

Sanjeev: Just shut up you idiot. You just did some drama and enter into my mom and dad's heart. Just be happy that you are getting offers.

As argument grow, Sanjeev started blurting out a lot of things. That how he became a drug addict, how he got into gambling, he married thrice and got divorced due to cheating and his casual relationships with multiple girls post-divorce.

Vidya and Vishwanath were devastated upon hearing all these things. They didn't expect that their disciplined and good son would turn into gambling, girls and drugs.

Shivraj tried to manage the situation well but it still got worse and Sanjeev started abusing his parents in inebriate state.

Later, he fell unconscious. Mamta and Shivraj placed him in his room.

Two days passed just like that and there is no talk between Sanjeev and other people from the house.

On the third day, Sanjeev apologized Vidya, Vishwanath and promised not to repeat his mistakes and also accept Shivraj, Mamta, Iti and Yug as his relatives. Everyone got convinced with his apology and were happy too.

Vidya cooked Sanjeev's favorite food for dinner. Vidya left to washroom again as she had constipation problem throughout the day. Sanjeev wickedly mixed poison in the food except his one. Vidya didn't come out.

Shivraj, Iti, Mamta and Vishwanath ate the poisoned food and left for sleep quite earlier. Since it was a delicious dinner, they had it more. Yug ate little food as he had fever that day. Sanjeev waited for Vidya but she didn't show up. He eventually forgot her due to drugs.

After feeling better, Vidya comes out and she didn't feel like eating. She went to check if everyone had slept. She found Shivraj dead in his bed as blood comes out from his mouth. She got shocked and shouted. She checked Mamta and Vishwanath and found them dead as well. Vidya silently checked Sanjeev and he was flirting with a girl in his phone. She understood that Sanjeev poisoned the food and killed them.

She checked Iti and Yug and found that they were still breathing.

Vidya gets hopeful and secretly she took Iti and Yug to a nearby government hospital for treatment. Yug was saved.

Vidya had a distant relative who had been working there as a nurse. She pleaded her to take Yug with her. The nurse took Yug secretly to her house.

Sanjeev comes running into the hospital. He was angry that his plan wasn't a success. He checked if Iti and Yug are here. He found Iti who is being operated and barged into the room and dragged Iti from the bed and took Vidya and her to house. Due to lack of oxygen supply, Iti died on the way. He burnt Sandya, Shivraj, Iti and Vishwanath in an old building secretly.

He was already in thought of killing Vidya but spared her as everyone in the hospital saw how he behaved with Iti and Vidya. He erased all the evidences of murder. He told everyone that Shivraj, Vishwanath, Mamta were died in a car accident and Iti and Yug were sent to Meghalaya to their relatives house.

Tara - "Then, how did Yug escaped from the nurse?"

Yug – "I don't remember much but she told me about what happened to Shivraj uncle, Mamta didi and grandpa but she told Iti was alive. Then I ran away from her house as I wish to find Iti. I landed in orphanage home. then I didn't remember anything as I must be mentally retarded."

Mamta- "Tara, where did you find Yug?"

Dhruv – "After coming to Chennai, we were searching for a job. There, a guy stole Tara's chain and was running. When we chased him, we found that he is a part of goon's gang and we actually went to his place chasing. They were about to kidnap us. So, we ran to save ourselves. That time, we met Yug as he deviated the goons in other direction and saved us. We found that few people were also searching for him to kill him. So, we decided to save Yug and adopted him. Then we got contract from Sanjeev to look after Vidya aunty."

"Not to look after your Vidya aunty... but to murder her," says Sanjeev standing at the entrance. Everyone looks at him from the balcony and got shocked.

CHAPTER 8 - LIFE AT PERIL

10.30PM

"Not to look after your Vidya aunty... but to murder her," says Sanjeev standing at the entrance. Everyone looks at him from the balcony and got shocked.

Behind him, a sorcerer is also standing. He is the same guy who was approached by Tara and Dhruv.

Sanjeev – "Don't you people leave simply even after dying. Shameless creatures!"

Mamta – "You dare."

Sanjeev – " Just shut up. I can't even believe that you are behind mom. Thanks to this sorcerer who revealed everything to me."

Shivraj – "A fool brought another fool to control us."

Sorcerer – "Success in mine so get ready for your defeat."

The sorcerer laughs in an evil manner. I bought a way to control you. He throws a powder on the spirits. The powder creates a smoky atmosphere around where none could see anything. Sanjeev wore a glass and beats Dhruv, Tara and Yug and made them unconscious.

20 minutes later

Dhruv and Tara slightly got consciousness when Sanjeev poured cold water on their face. They found themselves tied in a dark room. Yug is tied in a separate chair. Tara and Dhruv could barely see anything in darkness. To Tara's shock, she finds a very dim flashlight there. Tara remembers that she had come to drawing room to find why it was locked and due to scary noises, she had thrown the flashlight.

Tara – "Dhruv, we are in that locked room."

Dhruv – "How do you know?"

A animal roars, but they could not find where it was coming.

The room is lit by Sanjeev. Tara looks at the direction where the flashlight reflects, she sees the Maneater board.

Dhruv and Tara noticed an appearance which is laid on two iron charpai covered by a big carpet tied with big chains. They noticed that Yug is also tied near them only.

Sanjeev – "So Dhruv, let me introduce Garry. He is powerful, strong and hungry. So your wife and you are his dinner."

Tara and Dhruv are shocked.

Tara cries – "Please spare Yug and us."

Dhruv – "What are others? Mamta, Vidya aunty, Vishwanath uncle, Iti and Shivraj bhaiyya... What did you do to them?"

Sanjeev kicked Dhruv's legs. Dhruv shouted in pain. Sanjeev glares at him.

Sanjeev – "That's none of your business."

He looks at Tara wickedly.

Sanjeev – "And Tara, If I have a plan to leave you free, why should I tie you here with my boy Garry? Fools!"

Dhruv noticed that a portion of his rope is loosely tied. He felt relieved. He decided to drag the conversation while trying to untie himself.

Dhruv – "Who is Garry?"

Sanjeev – "Garry is a maneater."

Tara – "What nonsense!"

Sanjeev takes the leather blanket from the charpai and throws. A man whose head's size is twice the normal human. His teeth are large especially front canines. His body is covered by brown hairs and his body occupied the two full charpai. As per guess, he must be 7 feet by height and more than 140 kilos. He appears scary as his eyes are brownish red which is closed.

Sanjeev – "Don't you think he'd eat you?"

Tara and Dhruv shivers in fear.

Sanjeev – "No need to worry. He is unconscious as of now. But..."

Sanjeev takes a giant injection gun to shoots at Garry alias maneater.

Sanjeev – "He'd get up by 20 minutes. Before 10 minutes, I'd unlock his chains. And I don't think it'd take more than 20 minutes to eat you three people."

Dhruv – "Where is he from? How did you get?"

Dhruv untied himself but still acted to be tied.

Tara – "Dhruv... Is this necessary?"

Sanjeev – "Let it be, Tara. Your husband is interested in asking too many questions. It's okay. I'd answer. He is an underdeveloped man who lacks the sixth sense. He was found in Argentina and scientists were analyzing him secretly and they found something unique in him. There is a special hormone in his body and if it is activated, he'd be brought back to life. Sadly that hormone wasn't inherited to the developed man. They worked and produced an chemical to activate that hormone. Successfully he was brought alive. An anti-dote was also found to deactivate it. When I went for a tour, I saw him and decided to have him with me. I paid loads of money to buying and transportation. And obviously, I did it illegally so no one has any idea about him. For your kind information, Garry eats 20 people to satisfy his appetite."

Tara – "What the hell!"

Dhruv – "You should not do this."

Sanjeev shoots the activation injection into Garry's body.

Sanjeev – "Bye bye... Don't be hopeful that ghosts will come for rescue. This is place is protected by lemons."

Sanjeev leaves.

The sorcerer again creates a havan and the fire develops. Mamta, Shivraj, Iti and Vishwanath were sitting on a magical circle and were shouting in pain.

Vishwanath – "Mamta, though he is powerful, he is a bad sorcerer who is supporting evil things. There must be some weakness for him. You should find him."

Mamta – "Dad, he is a fool but he corrected his foolish behaviors. How could we find his weakness?"

Shivraj – "There must be."

Iti – "Mamta, Shiv uncle, I have an idea. But we need at least two minutes free from his control."

Iti narrates the plan. Though it is easy, it is hard for ghosts. Mamta and Shivraj prays Lord Shiva. Shivraj blows heavy air so that the havan's fire could not ignite further. As soon as the fire started to reduce, Mamta performs a Tandav reciting Aigiri Nandini's mantra.

As a negative energy (Ghost) calls for positive energy (God) to meet, the house feels a sudden thunder.

Iti and Vishwanath get into kitchen and came back with oil. Vishwanath pours the oil in the sorcerer's mid head from his back. As soon as the oil touched his head, he starts to shout, his head becomes scorched and he was dead.

Iti – "We heated this oil and we took his life from himself. We should save Tara aunty and Dhruv uncle."

Twelve girls come to the house. Mamta was shocked to see those girls. Mamta and Iti become human and approached them. They claimed that they were Sanjeev's girlfriends.

Mamta thinks, "Something is wrong here."

Sanjeev came out from Drawing Room and looks at door seeing twelve girls talking to Mamta. He is shocked.

Sanjeev – "Hey sweethearts, your man is here. Come on."

He gives a seductive look on them.

The girls ignored Mamta and runs to him. Sanjeev kissed all of them one by one, which disgusted Mamta.

Sanjeev – "I'll take you to the drawing room as there is a surprise headed for you."

He requested the girls to close their eyes with a cloth given by him. The cloth is sprayed with drugs which made all of them fall unconscious. Slowly he started pushing all the girls into the drawing room. They all fall down with a thud.

Tara and Dhruv are shocked to see them.

Tara – "Who are these people? Are these girls' prey for Garry?"

Sanjeev – "Yes."

Sanjeev starts laughing wickedly. In a nick of second, Dhruv stands up, lifts the chair and hits Sanjeev's head which breaks the wooden chair. It took time for Sanjeev to come back to reality. Within then, Dhruv untied Tara and Yug.

They called the spirits for help. Mamta poured cold water on the girls to wake up from outside.

Dhruv and Tara made all the girls go outside the room. Yug and Tara too comes out. When Dhruv is about to go, Sanjeev throws a beer bottle in his head which made him lose his control and he fell back to the room.

Sanjeev comes to punch him but Dhruv holds his hand and punched him vigorously.

The maneater roars, signing that the maneater can gain consciousness anytime soon.

Dhruv and Sanjeev come out of the room hurriedly and locked it. They breathe heavily. Tara comes with Vidya Devi who was locked in the room. Tara tells everyone about the maneater.

The door is tapped heavily by the creature.

Shivraj enters into Sanjeev's body to keep him under control.

Vidya, Tara, Dhruv, Iti, Yug, Mamta, Shivraj, Sanjeev, Vishwanath and the 12 girls run and hides in the store room's secret space as suggested by Tara.

The door of the drawing room was smashed and Garry comes out with a roar. His creates a heavy shake. He throws all the materials and within minutes the house becomes completely mess and two pillars of the house were broken.

Dhruv – "Shivraj bhaiyya, please come out of Sanjeev's body. Only Sanjeev knows how to control this creature."

Shivraj comes out of Sanjeev's body and Sanjeev gains consciousness.

Tara – "Tell us how to control the creature, Sanjeev. Else, we murder you and throw your body to him."

Sanjeev gets frightened.

Sanjeev – "The anti-dote is my car. Fill this in gun and shoot at him. But the gun is at drawing room. Go and get it!"

Vidya slaps Sanjeev.

Vidya – "You sick creature! You brought a creature, made it awake and put all our lives in danger and now you're shamelessly asking us to take the antidote and shoot it."

Sanjeev – "Mind your words, you old lady. I can't walk as my legs are injured."

Dhruv – "I'll do that."

Tara – "But do you know where to shoot the vaccine? If it is shot at wrong point, it is useless. So I'd go and take it."

Dhruv – "You're right. But I can't put comprise on your life. I'll do everything and you just tell me where to shoot."

Tara – "Dhruv..."

Mamta – "I think Tara is right, Dhruv. Let us do one thing. Dhruv, you get the anti-dote from the car. I'd get the gun from the drawing room. Then, we'd give both so that Tara can shoot."

Everyone nods and Shivraj gets back into Sanjeev's body.

Mamta, Dhruv and Tara come out. They find that Garry is in garden.

Dhruv runs fast towards outside. Garry noticed him as he knows the smell of human. Dhruv takes the medicine from the car and comes inside to find Garry blocking his way. Dhruv throws the medicine towards the kitchen where Tara is hiding.

Dhruv starts running while Garry jumps and catches him and holds him in hand. He was about to put Dhruv in his mouth and Dhruv starts shouting.

CHAPTER 9 - DEVIL'S ENDGAME

Iti and Vishwanth used their powers and beat Garry's head with a pillar which let Dhruv fall down.

Iti and Vishwanath took Dhruv with them.

Mamta comes to the kitchen and gives the gun to Tara. Tara loaded the gun and aims at the position. Mamta used her powers to hold him intact. Tara shot the injection.

Garry lost his consciousness after 5 minutes.

Tara and Mamta breathe in relief. Tara shouted that they were safe. Everyone comes out from the room.

The twelves girls thanked Mamta, Dhruv and Tara for saving their lives. Mamta smiled and spelt a magic on them such that they forget everything that happened in the house. Shivraj comes out of Sanjeev's body and Sanjeev goes unconscious.

Tara – "You girls believed in Sanjeev and came here, right? He is a woman-trafficker and he brought you to sell you all to a mafia."

The twelve girls exclaimed in shock.

Tara – "We are actually police officers. And just because we came at the right time, you were saved. Otherwise..."

The twelve girls thanked Tara and gave a disgust look to Sanjeev and kicked him altogether.

Dhruv – "Please leave him to us. We'd handle him legally."

The girls leave the house.

Mamta – "Nice acting, Tara. Glad that they believed our fake story and started hating Sanjeev."

Tara and Dhruv smiled.

Shivraj – "Dhruv and Tara, you both are appointed for killing Vidya aunty. The medicine you gave Vidya aunty are actually poisons. We replaced it by sugar powder. We deposited the poison in garden and that's why the whole garden got destroyed when it rained."

Mamta – "Sorry, Tara for torturing you on that day. It's just a misunderstanding that you were also trying to kill Vidya mom."

Tara – "Mamta, its ok. But why did you kill the doctors?"

Sanjeev – "Its my work."

Sanjeev smirks again waking up.

Mamta slaps him hard but he smirks again.

He stands up and tells, "I killed them as they couldn't kill my mother."

He comes to Dhruv and keeps a knife at his neck point. Shivraj enters into Sanjeev's body and he starts controlling Sanjeev.

Dhruv gets released. Sanjeev was tied by a rope and his legs are hanging at ceiling. (His head faces down at floor).

Mamta – "Sanjeev, why did you kill Saveer?"

Sanjeev – "He came to know the truth of our past from Mamta's diary."

Tara – "But he mentioned that Vidya was behaving very strange and she was so dangerous."

Mamta – "Tara, it's one of our plans to kick Veer from the house. We entered mom's body and behaved abnormal."

Sanjeev – "Later he got to know that the medicine were poison and confronted me. I decided to leave him with Garry. He ate his leg bones and then I stabbed him and created a big hole in his head by a nail. Then I tied him as scarecrow. Even his blood is ink in his pen."

Sanjeev laughs devilishly.

Tara – "What did Shyamli do?"

Sanjeev – "Shyamli Saveer Singha Roy..."

Tara – "Are they couples?"

Sanjeev laughs louder and louder. Dhruv and Tara feels like punching his face.

Sanjeev – "Her name is enough to lit my mood. What a girl! I never got such a sexual pleasure from any girl other than her."

Dhruv kicked his face.

Mamta – "We were also one of the reasons for Shyamli's death."

Mamta tells the story.

Shyamli was Saveer's girlfriend and fiancé. Upon knowing Vidya Devi had killed Saveer, Shyamli set out for revenge by killing her. Shyamli lured Sanjeev into her trap first by having sexual relationship with him for getting the job. Sanjeev blindly believed that she was in need of money so he gave the job of looking after his mother. As usual, he mixed slow poison in the capsules and provided to Shyamli.

The spirits as usual replaced the medicine with sugar powder.

Shyamli tried to kill Vidya Devi many times but the spirits saved her always. The spirits assumed that she had been here for killing Vidya Devi as per Sanjeev's demand. The ghosts started entering her body and started controlling her.

As a result, people outside started believing that Shyamli was also mentally retarded.

After a while, Mamta decided to warn directly. She come in front of Shyamli and lied that she killed Saveer. But Mamta refused to believe and assumed it as her illusion.

Still she continued her attempts to kill Vidya Devi.

As a result, Mamta entered her body and made her fall into the well with a hope that someone would save her and so Shyamli would leave. As expected, people saved her.

Mamta – "But we weren't controlling her when she was dancing in the park at midnight. I don't know how it happened."

Sanjeev – "Foolish ghosts know literally nothing. I was hiding in the park and as per my demand only, Shyamli danced like that."

Mamta – "Then what happened to her?"

Sanjeev – "Shyamli wasn't what you think to be. Shyamli was aware that Vidya Devi was innocent. She was suspecting me to be the murderer. So, she put up the act and tried to gather evidences against me to expose me in the society. She eventually got to know about Garry too. The only mistake is, she didn't team with you. Else she would have been alive. But my spy exposed her deeds. So, I just finished her off after satisfying my sexual needs from her. Garry ate her fully. Just her skull and few bones remained."

Dhruv – "I thought you do a good background check. But not actually... Veer was my friend and so is Shyamli. Even I know about you back then. But I didn't think you to be a cruel murderer. That's why I accepted your job offer and decided to come here so that I could find who murdered Shyamli and Saveer."

Tara is shocked and looks at Dhruv. Dhruv nods in positive.

Tara – "But, why didn't Isha reveal to me that Saveer and Shyamli are related?"

Dhruv – "I told her not to."

Sanjeev – "Dr. Isha? Her good luck... I missed her name. I got every witness killed who saw Saveer and Shyamli's body."

Tara – "Why Dhruv?"

Dhruv – "Don't you remember Saveer? I told you about him many times. Kolkata guy. I told you about Shyamli too but only once."

Tara – "Yeah. But I am remembering now only. How did I miss it?"

Dhruv – "I saw Shyamli's diary under your pillow to my shock. I thought you forgot them that they're my friends, else you'd have told me. But I felt that your investigation was going in the right track. If I tell you that they were my relatives, it will just deviate the track. I already inquired Isha before you do. From her, I got to know that she is your friend. I pleaded her not to reveal."

Tara – "Ufff!"

Sanjeev – "My bad! I try to bring people to kill Vidya Devi but it backfires either because of these stupid ghosts or by themselves."

Tara – "Mamta... please don't forgive Sanjeev. He is too dangerous than Garry. "

Dhruv – "It is better to kill Garry also."

Mamta releases Sanjeev from the ceiling. Sanjeev falls down. Dhruv and Tara dragged Garry and buried him alive in the garden. Iti uses her powers and made his body invisible even in sand.

Sanjeev begs for forgiveness.

Vidya – "You don't deserve to live, Sanjeev. You killed a small girl who was begging for oxygen at last time. You even killed many families by giving prey to Garry."

Shivraj blew air and Sanjeev was blown and he hits at pillar. Blood comes from his body. Mamta and Iti ignite fire around him. Sanjeev shouts for help but Mamta used her powers and muted his voice.

Slowly his lips stops moving and he was burnt in the fire.

The fire ceased as smoke.

Vidya kneels down and cries. Vishwanath consoles her but he too could not control his tears and breaks down seeing his son's burnt corpse.

Vidya – "I don't know whether to feel happy that my daughter's murderer is dead or to feel sad that my son is dead in front of me."

Vishwanath – "Don't cry, Vidya. Even I didn't even wish to see him in this condition."

Tara and Dhruv consoles Vidya and Vishwanath.

Tara – "Aunty, you don't worry. Hereafter our life is only full of joy and colors. We are there for you."

Dhruv – "Yes, aunty. Tara is right. We'd give you as much love and care that was provided by Mamta and Sanjeev. After all we came to know here only the beauty and strength of non-blood relations."

Mamta cries seeing them.

Mamta – "Mom and Dad, I am not your blood, but you gave me everything and I must be one of the luckiest girls in the universe. As an adopted child, I am privileged to get your love and nurture."

Vidya – "Adopted child? Shut up! You are my child and I'm your mother, no prefix or no labels to that name."

All smiles.

Vidya – "Dhruv and Tara, I hope you both resolve your issues with your parents and go back to your native."

Dhruv and Tara felt dull.

Tara – "I wish to be with them but they are not ready to accept me or Dhruv."

Vidya – "You both were away from your family for quite a long time. They must be missing you both and possibilities are there that they could even forgive you."

Dhruv – "You're right, aunty. I received phone calls from Tara's mom and my mom several times."

Tara – "Even I got a few but couldn't speak to them due to the Sanjeev's mess."

Vidya – "Did you speak to them, Dhruv?"

Dhruv – "No aunty. I don't know what to say and what not to. Also they seem caring only about their child and not their child's love interest."

Mamta – "Don't jump into conclusion soon, Dhruv. Time could change anything."

Shivraj – "Mamta is right, Dhruv. Talk to them via video call. Then you can understand their intention."

Dhruv – "We'd try."

Dhruv and Tara smiled.

Vidya, Vishwanath, Shivraj, Dhruv, Tara, Iti and Yug shared a group hug.

Shivraj – "Mamta, Iti and Vishwanath uncle... our soul got peace and our revenge is over. We should go back to heavens."

Vidya gets dull.

Yug – "Iti, please don't go. We met after a long time."

Yug cries holding Iti. Iti feels bad. Tara hugged Yug and consoled him, "Yug, don't worry. Mom and Dad are there to care you."

Iti – "Yug, you got a good mom and dad. Be happy with them."

Iti's voice breaks and she hugs Yug and cries. Shivraj, Vishwanath, Mamta and Vidya too erupt into tears.

Iti – "I am so lucky and blessed that I got you as my friend, Yug."

Yug – "Please don't go, Iti."

Shivraj – "Yug and Iti could not even reunite after everything is alright."

Vidya and Vishwanath hugged. Mamta, Vishwanath and Vidya share an emotional hug.

Mamta – "It's my last hug, mom."

Tara and Dhruv come to Mamta.

Dhruv – "Vidya aunty is our responsibility, Mamta."

Mamta cries, "I don't have any words to thank you enough."

Tara and Dhruv goes to Iti. Tara caressed her hair. Dhruv wiped her tears.

Dhruv – "Iti, you're more like our daughter and you are the reason why Yug is alright now."

Mamta makes the house to the normal condition.

Mamta – "Bye maa... Bye Yug... Bye Tara and Dhruv..."

Shivraj, Vishwanath and Iti wave their hands at them.

The four spirits prayed and the heaven door opened. They were all about to enter.

Iti stopped.

Mamta – "Please Iti, come inside."

Iti looks at Mamta sadly and turns at Yug crying.

Iti – "Bye, Yug."

Yug waved her.

Iti runs into the door crying which broke the heart of everyone. The door is about to close.

A divine voice is being heard, "I am the lord of Heaven, It is destined that Iti's friendship with Yug would remain incomplete in Iti's this life. I'd like to give a boon to Iti that she would take rebirth as Dhruv-Tara's daughter and live peaceful life with Yug as his sister."

The Heaven door closes.

Tara, Vidya, Yug and Dhruv share a warm hug.

Vidya – "Dhruv, as a mother, I wish you to do something for me."

Dhruv – "What is this Vidya aunty? I am after all your son. Order me."

Vidya – "End all your misunderstandings and go to your house."

Dhruv – "I am not sure if it ever happens. Tara's family and my family are too conservative and sensitive about their social status."

Vidya – ""Two days back, to our landline, Dhruv's mom had called and I attended the call. She asked about your well-being and Tara's well-being and she requested me to send you both back to the Agnihotri mansion as everyone wanted you both. They understand that relations are like air which is important to breathe. She even said that they ended their disputes with Tara's family too."

Dhruv is shocked.

Vidya – "At least now you can be peaceful, right?"

Tara – 'But what about Yug and you?"

Vidya – "Me?"

Tara – "We won't leave you here just like that."

Dhruv – "We promised your daughter, Mamta."

Tara – "Yes. But how could we make our family accept you both?"

Vidya – "They'd accept Yug as he saved your lives. It's not important for them to accept me."

Tara – "I have a better idea."

Dhruv, Vidya and Yug looks on.

After two days, Vidya, Tara, Yug and Dhruv reached Delhi. They booked a cab and goes to Dhruv's house.

As they enter the house, they were all surprised to see Tara's parents Udayraj and Saraswati being present. Saraswati hugged Tara and Udayraj hugged Dhruv.

Tara and Dhruv received blessings from Saraswati and Udayraj.

Dhruv – "I am so happy and thankful that you accepted me as your son-in-law."

Udayraj and Saraswati smiled.

Vidya looks at Saraswati deeply and Saraswati too noticed it.

Saraswati – "Is it Vidya Devi?"

Vidya – "Yes, Saras."

Saraswati exclaimed in joy and hugged Vidya Devi.

Saraswati – "Tara and Dhruv, she is my college best friend. We lost our contacts after marriage sadly. But I'm so happy to see you here. Thankyou so much Vidya for taking care of our children."

Vidya Devi – "It's actually them who took care of me."

Dhruv and Tara are speechless.

Tara – "Mom... we actually planned to let her stay in the neighbor house for rent."

"No need of other's house when we have our own," comes Lalita, Sanjay and Sushila with sweets.

Tara and Dhruv seeked their blessings.

Sushila caressed Tara's face, "I'm sorry, Tara. You adjusted a lot for me so that I can accept. But I was so heartless. Please forgive me, Tara. Your leave made me realize that I lost someone precious along with my son Dhruv."

Lalita and Sanjay – "Please forgive us as well, Tara."

Tara – "We should seek blessings only from the elders and not sorry."

Sushila laughs.

Sushila – "And no need to wear any heavy sarees. Wear whatever you feel comfortable and you can continue working also. No need to be a homemaker."

Dhruv and Tara smiled.

Sushila holds Vidya's hands, "I am out of words to describe my gratefulness as you gave shelter to my kids. Please stay with us."

Vidya nodded with a smile.

Tara – "Mom, this is Yug."

Saraswati – "So this is the cute boy who saved you and Dhruv from goons."

Saraswati caressed his cheeks.

Sushila – "He is our grandson."

Saraswati – "Exactly."

The family had a group hug.
