i am not able to understand why are they so desperate to get married!They are in clg only,atleast make your career,then marry whoever you love.None of their parents would have had issues if they made something out of their life and then let the parents know about their choice and willingness to marry each other.They would have agreed without any doubt.

The novel was also on the same issue. They said that the children should focus on their education first then think of marriage, they won't object but both the characters were so desperate to get married
