Arjun was a breakthrough film for Sunny Deol. His debut film Betaab was a hit but it was Arjun that gave him a distinct identity and Mamiya was a blockbuster song. His portrayal of an angry middle class Marathi youth Arjun Malvamkar was authentic and powerful. The umbrella scene was fantastic too.
