He wasn't exactly given an option to make a choice- Tara or his 21st century identity. I'm sure Tara would've told him to take the 21st century identity, even if he wanted to choose Tara.

It's really interesting to know what happened to Dhruv's side after DT Milan! So he also lost his family, his identity..

As per earlier story we got to know that Vallabhgad destroyed from Tara's side.. It's a biggest loss for her! Along with her identity, her whole Rajya went inside the Soil..
