I think it can end up in a big controversy as one of its main plot is a girl falsely accusing the male lead of harassment.

I read it and it has many controversial things. The male lead's past itself is very problematic. I don't like the novel because of these very reasons because none of them was handled properly I think.

As long as both will be positive and get proper screen time the fandom will remain peaceful I guess.

I'll have no problem in watching them in one project with either one of them in side character as long as the drama offers something meaningful
