Segment #10
Darshan was sipping his coffee, when Fiza walked in hurriedly. "What happened last night?"
Darshan waited for her to settle on the chair next to him. "How much do you know Afshan?"
"I've met him like three times. One of our mutual friends introduced us. Why? Still spying on me?"
"I wasn't there to spy on you, but to keep you safe. I saw Afshan last night, taking drugs. So, if you're going to hangout with him-"
"Look, I go to club to have fun but that doesn't mean I'm going to do drugs and all. I don't even drink. You know it."
"Fiza." Darshan sighed. "I'm just looking out for you. I shared my concerns and it's your life, you can make your choices."
"Tell mom not to worry about me so much. It's annoying." She stared at the painting in the cafe. "She has raised me, why doesn't she trust me?"
"It's not about trusting you. It's the others that may hurt you, she just wants your safety."
"Whatever."
-
Ayesha was working out when her phone buzzed.
"Boss wants to talk to you."
"Sure."
"What is going on?" Simba hissed. "Why is that Gaurav still alive? Who killed Alex? What were you doing?"
"Gaurav is not going to live long. I have given the task to a better marksman this time. About Alex, I'll make sure he's avenged. And I'm working on a bigger fish currently."
"I want Gaurav dead in the next 24 hours and his family too."
"Why family? Don't we keep them out of business?"
"Don't teach me the rules I made."
The call was disconnected. Ayesha hated it.
We always keep family and business separate. I mean, shouldn't there be someone to cry over the dead?
-
Ishaan looked across the street again. Shashwat Juneja was talking to someone he had on watchlist. He focussed the lens on the other man. Bissa. His moustache covered a good part of his lips, Ishaan hated it.
They shook hands and exchanged black leather bags. Bissa walked out of the room.
Ishaan packed the binoculars and zipped up his hoodie. He shared his live location to Darshan and followed Bissa.
After about half an hour, Bissa reached his hideout. Ishaan noted the number of armed guards and their positions.
-
Darshan's House.
Ishaan mapped the hideout and guards position. Darshan looked at the chart. "Should we raid or ask the police to do it?"
"Let's wait until the next party. I have a feeling that Bissa might prove helpful."
"How close is he to Simba?"
"Quite close, I think. Ayesha might confirm." Ishaan nodded.
"About her, do you think she's an undercover cop like you?"
"I haven't heard about her but it seems unlikely to have two undercover agents together on the same mission."
Darshan looked at the text from Nushrat. "Cool then, let's take turns in keeping an eye on Bissa and Ayesha."
