I guess i miss the greenery of my city when I was young. Now it's become a concrete jungle. I miss the serenity and pure air of my city during my childhood. Other than that I guess comics make me a bit nostalgic too ...

Oh... There's one more thing. We had a guava tree in our front yard and the delight of spotting self picking ripe guavas from the tree was something else. Now also i remember those days when i see guavas... Khareed ke khane me wo maza nahi aata jo khud ped se tod kar khane me aata tha....❤️

Ok.. there are a few others - orange icecream, Rasna, khatti meethi churan wali goliyan, orange toffees, Poppins, kisme toffee, fountain pens...

Oh yes.. fountain pens. I used to have a collection.

I think I know the katti meeti chudriyan.

What happened to your guava tree?

So did they make developments in your city?

These were the things i meant by churan wali goli 👇

churan-01.jpg

They came in many different flavours 😋

I think Charu might remember it...

The guava tree we cut down recently as it was causing a lot of monkey menace. Groups of monkeys used to come because of that tree and cause a lot of damage to pots & other things...

Yeah ofcourse Lucknow has changed a lot over years. But i loved the simplicity of older times and ofcourse the greenery...
