Other than that, for making the runway busy, other flights get delayed as they have to be kept on hover or made to circle around until the runway gets vacated. So some additional fines are slapped.
This also leads to sufficient damage for airlines' reputation and attracts news coverage, unless the person for which the landing was made was in extremely critical medical situation.
I am extremely interested in the airline also giving a statement that MAA is crazy and hallucinating, to justify their emergency landing and put her permanently on a no flyer list, or atleast for another 20 years (you know what I mean).
