Sometimes I see hum shows like neem and js, then I think maybe the audience like the typical trope more like forced marriages, third angle plotting and planning...
But then there have been shows like Parizaad.
Neem is plain boring. Makers need to execute it well to make it popular. Only good concept is not enough. Regarding jhok sarkar the show is good. But I don't like the track surrounding 3 wives of piral. They should focus more on Hiba and Farhaan. I guess by this week we might get farhaan Hiba scenes.
Unlike neem Parizaad had great execution. Also I have noticed pakistani audience likes bichara male leads like Parizaad. Thats why it was popular.

Parizaad wasn't about a bechara male lead
It showed many aspects of our Asian subcontinent through a common man who is somehow adopting and surviving through it all ....all tracks and characters of parizaad were relatable
Not to mention AAA performance and the supporting actors were FAB
And parizaad wasn't a bechara throughout the show ...he was like that just in the first few epis
Then he evolved into a stronger human being through his life experiences
He took stand for himself and others and stood firm
So it will be very wrong to say Parizaad was a superhit for portraying a bechara male lead
Wholesome end to "sajal and Bilal's love story" not Aaliya and Salman's? đ¤Ł
Whoever wrote the title is a sajlal shipper đ¤Ł

Bechara in the context that he was dark skinned guy who was rejected by the girl whom he loved since childhood. His family too didn't behave him properly before he became rich. Many guys could relate to him. Thats why it became popular.

It wasn't popular in the first few epis when he shown as a bechara
Trps started picking up when parizaad started becoming stronger
And yes he was shown to be dark skinned but in the show thankfully they didn't bring the skin color factor in an explicit way as to demean him
