In season 2, I think, there was a storyline where Kartik kept his family a secret for some time, but when his love story with Naira began, the Goenkas arrived and it was revealed that they were his family. A similar situation could potentially happen with Abhinav in the future, where his family is introduced later on if the story or trp demands it.

The show has transitioned from the Maheshwaris to the Singhanias, then to the Goenkas and Birlas, and it will continue to evolve because it has done so over the years. Therefore, I agree that TRP ratings are not solely dependent on any particular character.

Just a correction, original family was Maheshwari, followed by Singhaniya, Goenkas and now they tried working with Birlas but that flaky family dynamics didn't bring them ratings.

So, just like Anuj, even Abhinav can have a new family introduced...

I also feel like many that the only reason they kept character of Abhimanyu in general is just shown to create problems for new couple - AkshNav aur kuch nai...

Alternatively, a plot twist could be inspired by a Telugu film where Abhinav is revealed to be Manjari's son, who was switched at birth with Abhimanyu. Manjari can chase after Abhinav, exclaiming, "Mera Beta Mera Abhi", leaving Abhimanyu in a state of shock and confusion. That will fetch a lot of trps too.
