When your judgment as a movie fan was wrong?

As observers, watchers, fans of cinema, what have been instances where your judgement about movies or artistes proved to be wrong?

For me it would be:

- Believing whatever Kangana said till 2018. And giving hee benefit of doubt endlessly because some points which she spoke, did resonate be it about misogyny or nepotism and biases against ones with no rich and famous dad to back them.

- Thinking Amitabh was a gentleman or good guy. Though he is NOT so in real life nor a family man and has grave cases, allegations against him.

- Thinking Rishi Kapoor was as innocent as characters he did in films. I was shocked when I saw his interviews and videos of his outbursts.

- Thinking Amisha and Amrita probably had potential to do well in films but both fizzled after Gadar, KNPH, Humraaz, Ishk Vishk, Vivah, Main Hoon Na.

- Thinking Hrithik would overtake everyone else and make Khans a thing of past or make Khans take backseat.

Each time, I admit my judgement was wrong. What about you and any time your judgement was proven wrong?

I thought all celebs had a perfect married life and there was no such thing as being depressed or living in a toxic relationnship for celebrities. They have all the freedom and don't need to compromise.

Yeah, before SM existed😆

I don't know if this can be categorized as wrong judgment

But occasionally when I think a kissing scene or the couple's chemistry looks perfect or so heart touching, later I hear about them not getting along at all bts and complaining about co star's halitosis 😆

When I thought Aish will never allow Aradhya to have a new hairstyle. I've been proved wrong this week.

Nothing big scale. Just some movies I thought would succeed/fail and they went the other way.

I'm wrong all the time about newbies. I've dismissed so many people as "talentless" or "wooden" in their first few films only to have to eat my words later. Like Alia in SOTY and Highway.

Nowadays I try to give them 5-6 films before making a judgement. But it's so hard when all newbies try to be Aamir and do only one film a year.

I am watching season 1 and 2 coffee with Karan.... I have the same feeling on actress actor fizzling out.. how couples aren't together anymore etc.. everything just changed.. Bipasha was making claim like why cant exes be friend, her and dino morea.. yet she is not on talking terms with John..

Before it's release I thought JTHJ would be an all time record breaker and a fabulous movie. After it's release I couldn't believe how crap it was. Kat's face was frozen in place and Anushka's hyper jumping didn't help either.
