🤣🤣

They won't never leave the little one on the bed alone. Murtasim is already very over protective of meesum and also meerub won't leave her alone as last time she fall and injured herself.

Yes… my thoughts re Murtu as well. Murtasim has never been able to handle her cry… how could he go to the extent of pinning her down, violating her, hurting her, over and over again ( b/c that’s how sex works during rape and also her first time ) while she’s resisting and probably crying at the same time? Even in the spur of the moment, that’s a lot of step by step, willful, thoughtful violence and brutality for someone who couldn’t handle her even crying.

And then to show her pining for him that night at the lodge after the above? Rape would have been physically painful for her, and realistically, that pain would have instantly remind her of his violence that night…not his past warm gestures of love. That’s just a human reaction.

This.

Thanks for explaining it so well.

TB is one drama that is loaded with double speak since episode 1. There are so many blink-and-u-miss-it parts. Yumna rightly understood the ambiguity of this episode 46/47 and I guess that's why she emphasized abt Mu's character not being grey in one of her interviews. The Makers greed to tease the audience by this clickbait backfired on them royally!

**Rape is a forced brutality with no consent from the other party. There was not a single moment of disgust from Meerab for Mu after that night. Even if one is the abliest(abla :) ) of naris , one wouldnt be pining for that husband the very same night...remember the Lodge scene??

And for people who've travelled with these characters since episode 1 ,its beyond my understanding how they could think that Mu is capable of committing such a crime and most importantly Me is capable of allowing such a crime to happen.

I agree with your analysis of Meerab being almost ready for the next step of intimacy that night, they were building up to it in the previous episodes. Unknown to her, she was no longer indifferent to him or his actions and had become jealous and possessive of him.

I am of a slightly different opinion about who initiated it or how it got started.

Murtasim quietly took the slap and the spit but lost his cool when she taunted him about the contract. It was the contract that triggered him! So like unicornhugs mentioned, he might have tried to show how it wasn't the contract that was stopping him and how easy it was for him to break it if he really wanted to. In doing so he crossed that physical boundary between them, tried to back off once realized it but their close proximity in heated environment and hormones through the roof left Meerab with no resistance, she did not back off and willingly allowed him to take it all the way.

So in a way, Murtasim started the chain reaction once the door was closed but Meerab was the one who wanted to continue with it and then it became consensual.

Rest all you mentioned about Meerab's growing attraction for Murtasim and her physical forwardness as well as her breaking the contract herself still holds true in this scenario as well. And it also explains Murtasim's guilt for initially crossing the boundary which eventually lead to the contract breach, however consensual it became later on.

What I feel is that since its PTV and they can't explicitly show any details, makers left it open for interpretation. Basically the deed was done, there will be a baby at the end, logo ko jo samajh na hai woh samajh lenge ki uss raat kya huva. They themselves were totally okay with people interpreting it as MR (which is disturbing as it is), they just didn't realize that they will receive such a massive backlash with this interpretation. So they locked it down to Meerab initiating it.

Wish they had the sensibility to leave no room for ambiguity and skillfully handle this from the beginning. They ruined our experience as well as theirs.

Thanks for this - expressed my feelings about how rape is violent. If one imagines it, she would have been yelling screaming and begging him to stop and saying no. Especially because they were already in a heated argument.
Rape by definition is violence. That in no way shape or form changes because of one’s marriage status. It means, at no point in the continuum of affairs did the victim consent, not even in the very last second. I don’t believe this is how it went down - she was raped and yet she was immediately feeling guilty about her role in the rape?! No - maybe another submissive girl, but not Meerab. Meerab would have spit on him and if not angry because of the shock, she would have looked disgusted and sickened type of an anger.
I really still believe she felt guilty that they got into more heated arguments and in that heated environment, she initiated it. After creating the contract and holding it above his head, she felt ashamed for being the one to metaphorically rip it up. It hurt her pride, her ego, and since that was what she was running on at that point…she didn’t know how to deal with that being torn. And she was shown to be stubborn throughout… so if she said that she would leave him if the contract was broken, she would definitely leave. I saw that from the beginning episodes. That would make her pining away for him make sense.

Why do I think she initiated? Well first off, he said that in his inner monologue during the mirror scene. Even if he didn’t say that, the show had been building up to this exact situation. They had been showing Meerab finding him very attractive in recent episodes, and her jealousy building through her explosive angry reactions after the night out scenes etc. And what really hinted at it for me - the scene where she started roughly rummaging theough his pockets to find the note that the kid gave him. That was very unlike Meerab; she had never been so physically forward with him, invading his space like that. But that had been building too - grabbing his collar, grabbing his shawl. I remember thinking wow, she’s so close to him…the halal version of being up in his face. I feel that was a lead up to showing her physical forwardness growing and eventually bubbling over in the heated passion.
I think that’s why Nooran thought that we’d find it amusing… because the girl who spent all 40 + episodes hating this guy or at least carrying proudly the contract on her head…suddenly just broke it herself because she couldn’t resist this guy. Unfortunately for Nooran, the editors and director royally f’ed up that scene sequence and thought it would be thrilling to dangle the MR angle for interest. I think they didn’t expect the backlash at all… so they added the dumb voiceovers to try and make it clear that she wasn’t raped.

Agreed, I’ve always thought he was a bit aggressive to show that it wasn’t the contract stopping him. I think he backed off early on and it ended up being consensual. Still problematic and would explain his initial guilt and his apology but I guess it’s still redeemable. I never bought that she initiated with nothing going on from his end and always felt there was some aggression early on. The backlash made them understand that even this is problematic and they changed it. It’s the only thing that makes sense to me. MR doesn’t make sense and neither does Meerab being the one who completely initiated things. I think how it started was a problem also along with the fact that they were in the worst phase in their relationship when it happened. Meerab would never forgive MR and call Murtasim a good person if she was still holding a grudge against something like the forced marriage.

Meerab is Murtasim's izzat. She spoilt it herself more by leaving the house and not returning for 2 years.

Rohail was mentioned only within their family in Khan haveli which was bad in itself, but the whole khandaan knew Murtasim's wife had run away. Kirdar main waise hi daag lag jata hai, our society is like that unfortunately.

And Murtasim did not forgive Meerab?

She left him for 2 years, hid her pregnancy and their child from him, robbing him of so many precious moments.

Just because Meerab declared that she loved him more than he did, does not make it so.

They both evolved in the 2 years and accepted each other without any judgement or questions.

This family gives Justice to all the people in their village.

If someone falsely accuses someone, that too ur own wife you will show some reaction.

He could be stunned, but he also had questions regarding baby . That’s my guess ,and after hearing from Meerab it’s yours, his reaction came.

Meerab always suprises MK, making him feel ashamed.

I love MK , but to tell the truth he spoiled Meerab kirdhar.

Here Both love each other, but it’s meerab love who is ready to forgive MK .

That night, both of them ran away , only think is MK came back because it is his own house , and Meerab couldn’t. Running away is not a solution which she took in chastity, and she couldn’t figure it how to turn back later.

Rohail thing was spread by MK only , and everyone knew about it not just khan mansion . MB itself said she had to tell everyone she ran with Rohail.

Both of them suffered because of this separation, had MK listened to her when he went to Karachi to meet her, instead of accusing that she is meeting Rohail behind his back , this could have not happened.

Meerab gave a chance to MK to tell during that hug scene with BH , she was ready to listen , whereas sadly MK will not even listen .

This separation is a lesson that they cannot afford anything to come in between them , as they have seen that they could not move on in their life. They will give there love more weight than there differences 😂😂
