@bold: So, the things is we never heard her actually say that - so that’s where I’m still not convinced. The article seemed like it could have taken comments she made about one topic and included them in a section talking about something else. There were very vague comments made even by Marie baji people were posting, but they didn’t include the whole conversation specifically talking about rape. I took that as… they wanted to leave the audience in suspense. If I heard it from her mouth I’d for sure believe it. But, it’s hard for me to see her giggling and gushing about a character that did MR. If she did, that is so F’ed up. I hope she will clarify that in her interviews.

And if it really was MR, I am utterly disgusted that a show would be so insanely popular and such a character would be so idolized. As if MR is just some mistake that men make. It’s not. Marriage is NOT a license to rape your wife and then be forgiven by groveling ( after agreeing to marry you sister cousin at that!) Only some men make that mistake and they are bad men. Sadly this drama doesn’t send that message - if it is truly about MR. Many many many men in the world do NOT MR. What message does that send out - a massive hit based on redemption after marital rape. It’s so backwards if that’s the case…I’m aghast thinking about it and would feel ashamed watching it and contributing to the fandom if that’s the case. It’s one thing if it was rape and they didn’t get back together…but glorifying their reunion after rape is… I don’t even know what to say about it. That beautiful khet scene would be so 🤢 if that’s the case. Also I thought in PTV shows they always show the folks that did bad stuff suffering for it in the end. Here he’s prancing in the fields and she’s lovingly looking at him like 🤷‍♀️…”oh you handsome rapist you!”

Nooran did say in a written interview that the script demanded MR. I take her word for it at this point in light of how the show ended and how Murtasim apologized. KMK behaved like a beggar. He apologized on his knees and with hands folded. The great KMK did that, Only extreme guilt would do that to him. Haya hugging him will not induce such guilt. M having raped Me will.

I am wondering why Meerub didn't ask Murstamin why he is marrying Haya, last time she left n all that happened bz Haya was hugging Murtasim n on her return Murtasim was marrying Haya, just second or 2 difference , they would have been married but still Meerub didn't raise questions. Is that ishq too from Meerub's side lol 😆
