Role of parents in custody battle

I'll be adding my views on role of parents during this whole custody thing

Abhimanyu Birla -

The day he got to know about Abhir and till date, I have liked how he never says that Akshara and Abhinav don't have any right on Abhir, he always acknowledges their love, upbringing and rights on Abhir. He always maintained that Abhir is his son TOO, he never said Abhir is ONLY his son.

-- He didn't initiate the custody battle, he was served a restraining order from Akshara's family and had to reply legally because if he didn't, the court will consider it as his lack of interest in his son

-- After Abhir's surgery, he withheld custody case indefinitely and went to Kasauli to be around his son

He showed every intention of co-parenting

In recent custody case, he was the party against whom the case was filed so he had to respond and if he had backed down, he wouldn't only lose Abhir's custody but Abhir would never get to know that Abhimanyu is his father, stakes were much higher for him

Abhinav and Akshara - Abhinav and Akshara never showed any interest in co-parenting and it is fine since their home is in Kasauli, them changing their residence and lifestyle for Abhimanyu is too much to ask for, they wanted sole custody and Akshara was always preparing for it. The arrangement they had in Kasauli wouldn't have lasted longer due to Abhinav's insecurities and Akshara's fear of Abhir getting to know the truth, again pretty fair because why would anyone allow wife's ex to stay in the house, I don't think Abhinav was wrong here.

But after Abhir knew half truth and all 3 parents had decided that they'll tell him the whole truth, what stopped Akshara and Abhinav from telling Abhir?

Abhir is their son, their son is repeatedly telling them that he wants to stay with them, just wants to know name of his real father, Abhir doesn't want to lose his parents, there won't be a change of heart miraculously, he wouldn't start hating them and loving Abhimanyu

Akshara and Abhinav had everything on their side from Abhir's love and the power to tell him the truth but they opted for custody battle because it gave them ultimate power through which Abhimanyu will be out of their and Abhir's life and they wouldn't have to tell Abhir the truth.

I don't blame Manish here because Manish is old man like Manjari, Manjari wanted Akshara to marry Abhimanyu and leave Abhinav 🙄 did that happen? I don't get how Manish's words were so important that Akshara and Abhinav couldn't tell him that he can't take decision of their son's life and they'll tell him the truth, they won't subject Abhir to custody battle because the chance of result being on their side is 50%

Like Manjari's mach mach was called out, Manish's stupidity should have been called out too

But they didn't because they stood to win more than they thought they would and it was pretty evident from Akshara's over confidence in court

I want to understand in all this, how is Abhimanyu to be blamed? Why this expectations from him to let go of his son? He agreed for co parenting, stalled custody battle, lived like a servant in Sharma house to stay near Abhir, what more could he do for these people?

He didn't burst party poppers in front them and supported both of them in their grief was too much for me, if he had apologized for winning, I would have to disown him and write him out of my will

So summary of that.

On white day akshu risked her kids as she was over confident that her kids her safe as doctor assured her nothing will happen to her kids. Where as it was in her hands to follow her gut feelings or not. But went with doctor's saying as she was over confident. There is a saying bhagwan bhi tabhi haath pakadtha hai when we put some effort.

WD happened due to that unfortunate event she lost her one kid. But it was her own decsion to put her kids in that situation.

Similarly,

Today akshara had an option to say "No". She even made it clear to abhi that bacche ke saare decision uske mummy papa lenge when abhi suggested not to take kids to usa. But when manish initiated court drama she was on mute. Why???. Because it's BP. Her pyaar for her BP and her greed to have abhir with herself. When she got panick attack that itself was an indication that something bad is gonna happen. But she still chose to go with it than aborting the case. Because this time she was overconfident as the lawyer told her their case is strong as she is mother.

But mother hona hi kaafi nahi hai bacche ke liye. 6 years ka kuch faida hi nahi hua. Her overconfidece took away one more kid from her.

So now we have to see what else she will loose because of her overconfidece.

You are completely correct! They were so sure they will win if it goes to court that they figured they can write Abhimanyu out so why to settle for coparenting. All Abhimanyu did in this entire situation was respond and try to have some part of his son.

Akshara was studying law and this was her final exam, but when she read mother is given preference, didn't she read that was valid when mother wasn't a criminal? Forget past doings, just the paper forgery is enough as the court mentioned a separate investigation for it.

I still stand by what I said, Akshara ensured Abhinav was closer to Abhir than she was because she knew the future fight would be between 2 fathers, and yet when the fight came, she had no faith on her own upbringing despite the son repeatedly saying he wants them. All she had to do was keep faith on her son, that's it. Tell him the truth that Abhimanyu is your real dad and we separated but you can spend some time with him and be with him. Abhir won't have removed Abhinav, hell even Sharma won't have been removed from his name, the birth certificate fraud won't have come out, they could happily lived in Kasauli as the perfect family. Abhimanyu told him mother also that he wants to be with his son in his life, so he won't have let manjiri take control and demand birla surname, he would have feared losing Abhir in his life. But Akshara let her pain rule her, she prioritized Abhinav's emotions over Abhir's, then let her grandpa take a call she got over confident was in her favor, but then they both made the final nail in the coffin mistake for me, they told Abhir a half truth that turned him anti his real father, they told him his father wants to take him away from them, when all the father wanted was to be close to Abhir, he didn't care about where Sharmas stood in that.

This is the thing, Manjari's beghairati didn't benefit her dream of a family so she did tamasha and had no issues turning her down, it was in the same episode where Akshara and Abhinav bajaoed Manjari. Abhinav told Manjari that Abhimanyu should move on with Arohi and forget Abhir

If all this could be said to Manjari then why couldn't they tell Manish that they won't be listening to him? Why not tell Abhir the truth considering the fact that Abhir has time and again told them that he wants to stay with them?

Manish's condition would lead to Abhimanyu not only losing Abhir's custody but losing Abhir forever, it was beneficial for Abhinav and Akshara so they didn't mind it, now crying and begging for sympathy with their age old victim card is back

Kasauli Abhimanyu was intolerable, I couldn't look at him 🤦‍♀️

His sorry during the first trip to Kasauli was just sorry. And AK was right telling him that it was just said so his conscience was clear. I had mention in another post also yes sorry was important but ones action also speaks a lot to convey that they are sorry. Like right from the beginning AR keeps creating problems when caught she would go sorry and very next day she is back to herself. Just cause she said sorry doesn’t mean she actually means it. aB could have told sorry and then immediately walked to the court and start a custody battle in which case the sorry had no meaning. He made a number of mistakes and when he realized he has taken steps to correct it. When he proposed to AK in the mandir and she showed him reality he got his mistake. He has not crossed his limits since then. She has remained Mrs. Sharma to him. He even hesitated to shake hands in the ILU scenes. He was the only one to have understood AK and AA pain after they lost the custody. I can bet even after winning at least AB will never tell mera beta when they are together he will still say humara beta.

This!! I saw this in precap but didn't watch the episode so I didn't know if this scene was there or not. Thanks for mentioning this. Should be added to the subtle manipulation tactics thread too. They actually lied to Abhir about Abhimanyu's intention. He never wanted to take him away from his family, he just wanted some time with his son

Similar track was in Ghum, where Pakhi's manipulations/lies led to Vinu hating Sai although Pakhi grey character but she was stupid, Abhinav is much smarter than her
