I loved the music, and the movie touches some subjects which are not really talked about in Bollywood movies. The story was so different. The twist was unpredictable.

The movie was so realistic and not the typical fairytale romance.

Everyone is saying that the movie belongs to Kiara, however I loved Satyaprem more. He was so perfect. I cried with him.😭

SPOILER AHEAD:

The ending could have been better. I found Katha to be a weak character. I wanted to see her as a survivor who comes out of her trauma and starts living a normal life. Sadly, they never showed that.

@green. Thats where even i felt let down they should have shown Katha starts living a normal marriage life with Satyaprem but they just rushed it I won't say a weak character but what Katha went through manu girls who went through that situation reacts the same as Katha did. Its not easy and the fear thats not sigh of weakness but fear it takes too much time to heal than comes society family & reputation the whole world judge you and its enough to burn the girl to death. So i never felt Katha was weak its just that she could not come out of her trauma that fears her than came Satyaprem aka Sattu who taught her to stand up for herself and tell the truth and strive for it. Sattu is love❤️i love Satyaprem too he is so naughty & cutie💋

*Spoiler Alert*

Finally watched the film and I am pleasantly shocked 😆at the business it is doing as this is based on more or less taboo subject for family audience here and definitely not your usual romantic drama.

It can totally go down as one of the romantic classics. The chemistry between Kartik & Kiara is the biggest strength of the film they strike a perfect balance of vibrancy and subtlety in terms of energies. For instance there is one shot which is in Pasoori too where they are giving that mesmerized yet longing look these kinda expressions are so in sync and on point something that uplifts the romantic drama to the next level.

Coming to my issues with the film it's the songs in first half there are too many of them and are quite unnecessary minus 3 songs and the film would have been flawless as supporting characters would have gotten more time and space to develop.

Regardless Gajraj Rao is brilliant as usual his tuning with Kartik is one of the highlights of the film, Sattu and his scooter rides there overall camaraderie is so adorable 😆

Kiara Advani has definitely arrived she's brilliant as very complicated Katha and looks absolutely stunning, her screen presence has improved immensely and she dances beautifully, emotional scenes are her forte she is proving to be a complete package. My only gripe was her performance in the panic attack scene, I feel she could have done better there nevertheless she more than makes it up in the breakdown and confrontation scenes. Loved her styling in the film.

Now coming to Kartik, I have liked the guy since Punchnama, Akash Vaani days, have really enjoyed most of his movies since Sonu titu but started rooting for him post his very public showdown with dignified Kjo and Dharma gang😆

So it's really great to see him not just survive but thrive despite being banned and bullied the way he got.

Anyways back on topic what can I say that hasn't already been said, he created a character so endearing, so vulnerable yet so empowering that you can't help but love Sattu and his pure love for Katha. While his comic timing, zig zag dances 😆are always on point its the emotional scenes where he has hit out of the park, the way he feels incompetent to be Katha's partner, the first time Katha hugs him, the revelation scene, the scene where he beats up Tapan is so raw so heart tugging he displays a myriad of emotions with so much ease. SatyaPrem will go down as one his most memorable characters.

Dialogues are great, background music is beautiful so is the cinematography and choreography of both their intro songs. Aaj ke baad reprise version has my heart. Sameer Vidhwans and Karan Sharma have delivered a romantic gem with utmost purity and sensitivity.

All in all a must watch!!

4 Stars fro my side.⭐⭐⭐⭐
