The toughest job is to be accountable and responsible when the going is tough.. she could not express love when her kids were young as she was defending her sons legacy., her brother in law was grieving his love.. she was doing a man’s job and in man’s environment and guess what she did the dirty work when every one was down but she kept the show going … they didn’t show any internal dialogue but she is the original queen who is giving her throne and she has chosen one ME .. she has all the qualities ( fearless, responsible, large hearted, fight the fight that needs to be fought.. leader with impeccable sense of duty and knows justice.. ME has all that and more and H none so she never existed in her eyes even though she has the background and knows the rules) that will complement her sher - beta… don’t mistake her she knows exactly how to handle her son …the way she handled him when he was breaking in a thousand pieces ( impeccable.. she knows what to say and when❤️❤️❤️) .. she is giving up her throne and wants a worthy successor .. she saw that aces in ME.. when she knows what she wants she is full out and you better stand out of her way she knows how to get her work ✅

ma begum is in a position where you don’t get by being submissive .. you need to play the game.. know the rules and also be political ..you need to know who is your foe and friend.. she knew when to get Anwar in the picture. She did this impeccably.. again if it was a man we would not have said anything. It is woman and so we are ready with harsh words.. she knows what she does and there will never be gratitude or thank you..
When was the last time you saw a mother in powerful position and spoke her mind.. who was not devious.
she has been very clear she cares about her sons happiness and at the same time is trying to protect his legacy., there was beautiful dialogue in epi 20 ( that episode is a gem…) where she defended Anwar’s stand with ME.. as a parent you stand with your child regardless of what.. this waqas also said to Anwar.
I have a gap of the engagement serial.. I will never see it so have that gap..
There is blind spot and queen has not been able to find it from the bts it looks like Ma begum is holding court and she will be the one to again ask the tough questions ..watch out the swords are all out along with poison .. the OG queen holds court.. she is fighting to get everything straightened out along with taking on a new role of a grandmother.. she wanted this desperately.. she saw ME uncomfortable and the entire family was given sweets., exactly what you expect a Ma to behave who always has to behave like Ma begum.. it was earlier days and she didn’t waste a min and got out clothes and kissed them and was all out..
A mom’s job is the toughest job and she is doing two jobs in midst of all this turmoil. On surface it will make life easier for MK if he had someone who understood this life and not create drama … again H wants the throne what better way than to shadow the original queen and always be around.. H played the game very well always one step ahead as she had the goal.. MK and ME wanted love however H loved the power of the throne and the stability.. she has desired that and that in turn became desire for Mk as he was the only one way to get it…

it’s rare to see a MIL in a PTV show which we don’t despise. They are either completely black or white. Despite the flaws, I enjoyed MB’s grey character and her fierce protectiveness towards her kids. When Murtasim says that he can’t leave Meerab cos he loves her, she doesn’t push him to do.Ma Begum..
