I do not see it as a mistake on part of Kangana. I see it as an intentional addition, hoping new age audience will not know truth anyway and will take film at face value.
Not defending Kangu, or the movie makers, it might be intentional but it’s not that far off
That’s how she acted during Emergency openly (and other times not so openly). Throwing everyone, opposition including media, politicians, leaders into jail and treating them like common criminals. And this movie is about that period, not Indira’s biography, right?
She might not have directly said it, but did she refute when that sycophants said it
Sycophants usually don’t act without their master’s approval, when they do they’re publicly reprimanded or punished (And no other party with the possible exception of Jayalalitha’s ADMK excels in sychophantism)
