Asa definitely was better than some of the prime time shows with a list actors.

Sufi creepy and Naima naagin atleast had a proper villain origin story and were not evil from the start. Naima naagin wasn't even fully evil in any point. She never wished death or any sort of physical harm for ushna and her mother. She simply wanted the mother daughter duo out of her house but never wanted them to have a miserable life or anything. She was genuinely worried when Usha got almost kidnapped.

Shehroze even after being shown to be badtameez and short tempered never even raised his hands on ushna or showed any sort of violence against her even when he thought she helped creepy on stealing his project.

Ushna used to also give it back when she looses her patience and wasn't as dumb or useless as someone who is always trending 🤣

adding to those points:

-- you had zainab, a momma bear who went above and beyond for her adopted daughter and did not abandon her. this woman was pragmatic in so many ways.

-- it was hilarious that both zainab and ushna rejected their relatives rishta because they were treated badly. they weren't wanting to be doormats is revolutionary

-- neither mother daughter duo spent episodes crying and instead fought back more often

-- zainab rescuing ushna like a tough thug with an entourage of guards was a total highlight

-- naima trying to off herself with mushroom soup was another 😂 have to give points for innovation

-- sufi psycho posing with gun was hilarious and it was funny that his own relatives as well as parents found him exasperating

-- shehroze callously kicking out second lead sadaf without even a second thought to etiquette was downright hilarious.

-- ushna consistently choosing sleep over the two men chasing her was hysterical. 😂

-- the chemistry between shehroze and ushna was sizzling and hilarious. shehroze might have cried tears that his ruksati didn't happen but you didn't have a couple separating due to bedroom issues. the guy stuck around his girl shocking his beloved momma

-- the bestest was the original fiancee who dumped shehroze and naima and found herself another beau within an episode. 🤣

so yes, when I look around, aik sitam aur was such a refreshing gem. which other drama had such interesting stuff going on? am not able to understand why certain shows are doing well popularity wise because it is utter nonsense.

should go back and re-watch aik sitam aur when I have time.

Completely forgot how shehroze kicked out sadaf when she tried to flirt with him. The dude didn't tolerate her even in the name of manners. he never had one but still 😆

It was refreshing to see his ex dumping the ML instead of the other way. She wasn't also shown to be that bad. Ushna taunting him time to time for being dumbed was also funny.

Ushna using sudi creepy just to get out of marrying shehroze but then woh patli gali se nikal gayi when she understood her mom won't budge 🤣. Sufi creepy's proper villain origin story. Ushna did give him hope.

Shehroze might be mad angry with ushna but won't even think of being separated from her. But got dead scared when he thought she might leave him if he continues with his acts 🤣. Ushna had him wrapped around her fingers quite well.

Asa with all its flaws is still the best haters to lovers troop pak drama I have seen.

Fawad ke case main nose job and tacks here and there actually look fab! Even though I hated how he looked painstakingly thin in that stupid Khoobsurat movie. But he looks so good otherwise honestly..one case where plastic surgery did wonders

I am now convinced that Urwa and Farhan's separation was due to money issues during the making of that movie Urwa was producing..she seemed to have resumed working also to pay off all the pending bills..?
