Certainly, there had been (and still are and will be) many more incidents with paid people to pose as Muslims ...or incidents are invented and published as if they did happen...or videos are made and then posted of staged incidents... (this way, one can even do terrorist acts and blame other people...the German leader in 1939 needed an incident to start a war/annect another country by making German soldiers posing as Polish partisans doing a kind of terror act)... today faking 'facts' to support a certain narrative and/or justify a certain 'reaction' is even much easier than about 80 years ago.

I'm not positive towards any of the Indian parties.

2019 was the first time that electronical voting machines had been used. It is known, that one can rig these machines, the easiest way being through doing fake votings beforehand or directly after the actual voting processes on separate machines (one has 'only' to exchange the machines of the respective election offices after the voting has happened).

2014, there had been strange happenings in voting bureaus where helpers placed themselves behind the voting cabines so voters were aware that they got observed during marking their vote...

I did not follow previous elections before as my interest started only when two parties (BJP + RSS) with their flagship-PM-candidate were about to get to rule India because their mindset reminded me of the not-so-long-ago history of my homeland.

So, it is a totally personal thing and has absolutely nothing to do with SRK and/or his fans (but a lot with my interest for India and Indian people)!

If I am not mistaken, 2019 also NRIs were allowed to vote when they were on Indian soil at the moment of the voting process (something many, many Modi/BJP likers did, just flying to India and then back again...sometimes not even spending extra-time in India - just in-voting-out)

NRIs with OCI who have surrendered their Indian passports are not eligible to vote in India, also they are under the oath to be faithful towards their new home which NRIs take it as a mere formality. If they were allowed to vote in India, it's totally illegal.

I wondered, too, when I read about that (more than once)...but there had been even NRIs who told that they had flown to India to vote and that many other did the same...(maybe they aren't/weren't permanent residents with another passport in the country they live/lived as NRIs?)

And where exactly did you infer that I was implying you’re a Congress fan? I mention them purely because they’re the largest opposition party, I thought that would be obvious to you given the huge amount of personal time you invest in learning about Indian politics from 2014 onwards. And not so long history of your homeland? LOL the far right AfD just won a council election, not sure if you missed that whilst busy on IF talking about Indian politics.
I really do wish you would be clearer in what you’re trying to imply so we wouldn’t have to go around in circles. Do you or do you not think the faulty EVM machines or voter fraud is what caused the BJP to win national elections? Your statements are so bizarre and vague to me. It’s like saying computers are now used by all companies. It is known that one can hack these machines. Like yes captain obvious…and?!
@last para - I don’t even know what to say to you. What a silly statement. Indian citizens flying in to vote is an issue now is it? Are you aware that most countries have systems where they allow the same? And what was to stop non BJP supporters from flying in and casting their vote? I urge you to start a campaign to get non BJP supporters to spend their hard earned money to catch a flight back home just to vote against the BJP.👍🏼

Jesus, people. Do some research already! Google is a free resource available to all. Google the differences between NRI and OCI. I’d love the stats on the NRIs who flew in to vote, the total numbers and this huge potential impact that they had to influence a national election of 912mn potential votes.😆

I usually laugh at such rigid political supporters because it's like picking between the Devil & the deep blue sea. Both sides are going to screw the common man no matter what. Believe it or not, they too have people to answer to, massive political donors to start with. You can't win any election without their backings.

Anyways BJP recieved 37.36% of the Vote share in 2019. That means 62.64% of the Voters did NOT vote for them. So No, the majority isn't with the BJP. It's just that the Opposition is so poor & so scattered that the votes get divided. In 1977, the opposition parties formed a Mahagathbandhan( A mammoth coalition) to take down Indira Gandhi. History could repeat itself if the opposition comes to its senses. Nobody is invincible.

Ma’am..I urge to not worry about India and Indians..because we are clearly doing fine and getting applauded by the world 😆 there is a thing as creating fake narrative..which is what you have been doing for a while now about allegedly fudged 2019 elections etc…if you have a doubt about Modi’s popularity..that’s totally ok..you can look the other way even if US president gives him a grand welcome and Elon musk claims to be a fan of Modi 😆 your personal opinion stems from the fact that you are an SRK fan..😆 I mean who are we kidding really? And if you really want to know more about India..how about take a trip there first and see things for yourself first hand..instead of making opinions on the basis of your likings? As for NRIs voting for BJP..So what is it to you? I mean why are you so bothered about it? I don’t see you questioning a horrible Khalistani movement in Canada funded by NRI Canadians..or separatist movement of NRIs in UK who fund Kashmiris ..but you are so upset about BJP’s win in 2019..you will make up whatever you feel like..in any case..I would be more worried about Germany which has slipped into recession (if you really are a white European ie) than worry about India..which is a beacon of hope and brightest star this year..😆

That’s how politics works. And i’ve even said it here before, it’s exactly why a strong opposition is needed. How else do you ensure govts do their job? And that’s the first past the post system that no one has complained about before when it was working in their favour. No one is invincible but just look at the state of the opposition. Everyone’s egos are too damn big and everyone wants to be the centre of attention so naturally, nothing gets done. On a side note about Indira Gandhi, I had no idea till this week that she’s said to have sterilised 8mn+ (mostly poor) Indians?!

sev, if you tried to be sarcastic, that is lost on me 😉

I tried to be clear that I question the 'overwhelming' victory in 2019 like I question a lot of what the current government did/does.

I also question things the congress party did in the past/does now in Karnataka.

No wonder I do that because, generally, politics are dirty (not only Indian politics but politics in general...

However, I have nothing against movies about certain events/incidents/human deeds mostly unknown/suppressed/concealed as long as they are not blatantly supporting a one-sided agenda but - in the contrary - trying to show the two sides of the coin...

An absolut no-go - to me - is the use of religion in politics regardless of 'right/left/centre', the use of violence for political gains and different use of law for different people (all this is done worldwide in some way or other...in India since 2014 by the government by far too often disrespecting the own constitution).
