Yessss! I would like to watch this. Very well done, Dazzling!
I'd like to beat the cvs around the ears for needlessly stretching situations and robbing us of the basic story.
I'm flattered that you've chosen to read my story ☺️ Thankk you! 🤗
I'm almost ready with the next part, written with the single aim of bring Ram and Priya together - logically 😆
Wishing your sis a speedy recovery! She will be in my thoughts ❤️
It was great, I really love your stories
I join the wishes, may your sister be healthy as soon as possible. And I wish you all good health. take care of yourself
Story so far...
The media gets wind of Ram and Priya's contract marriage, leading to chaos. Shalini, shocked at this news, collapses. Kriti breaks up with Ram, not willing to be pressurized into a marriage while Ram wonders how to sort things out.
He proposes a loveless marriage to Priya, as the only logical way to fix the problem they have been confronted with, while making sure their individual agendas are still met.

- Part 2 -
"I'll let you think it over," Ram said as he stepped out of the room, leaving Priya to her thoughts.'
The moment he stepped out, he was accosted by Alekha, anxious to know what transpired after she saw Kriti leaving in a hurry without so much as looking at anyone.
He looked up and gestured to Shardul, who was standing a few steps away, patiently waiting for his friend to speak up, while Yuvraj lurked in the background, hoping to latch on some useful information.
"Come on guys, I need to talk to you."
Alekha and Shardul exchanged looks and followed him to his room. Yuvraj trailed after them but was stopped by Alekha just as he was about to enter Ram's room.
"Yuvi, will you please go and check on Shalini aunty? Let us know if anything happens, please."
Yuvraj nodded and headed off to check on Shalini while inwardly cursing Alekha.
"Ram, will you please tell us what happened? How did Kriti appear all of a sudden and then just leave without even meeting Shalini aunty? Ram, please talk to me," Alekha pleaded.
"Ram." Shardul said softly, putting his hand on his shoulder. "If you're worried about the media, I have taken care of that." Ram squeezed Shardul's hand in a gesture of thanks. "The news will not leak, and I have told them that the engagement has been postponed for now, and as soon as we have a new date we'll let them know. All the guests have also left; only Priya's family is downstairs. Tell us what's on your mind now," he coaxed Ram.
Ram sighed.
"Guys, I asked Dr. Priya to marry me without a contract," he said in a shaky voice.
Alekha opened her mouth to protest, but before she could say anything, Ram flashed his palm at her, and she fell silent.
"I called Kriti here so that I could convince her to come with me and speak to Jaan — tell her everything. I mean...after the media circus, I didn't know what else to do." With one hand on his waist and the other rubbing his forehead, Ram continued speaking as he paced up and down the room.
"I thought if we tell Jaan the truth, she might be upset with me for a while, but she'll eventually come around. And I would somehow convince her to delay the wedding until Kriti's contract was up."
"What did Kriti say? Priya was also in that room right? Was she okay with this?" Alekha jumped in, unable to contain herself.
"I mean, think about it; her family must also be upset, right? If the engagement is called off, it's bound to affect them as well."
"Aloo, Dr. Priya was okay with this; she supported my decision. But Kriti did not. She wanted out. She felt I was never going to be able to prioritize her — us over Jaan. And she knows that Jaan doesn't like her...she wants to focus only on her career now. She's already told me before that she wants us to live independently. I didn't take her seriously then. I kept thinking that once things were sorted out between her and Jaan, everything would be okay. To be honest, living away from Jaan is impossible for me; she's everything to me. And now, I'm the reason she's in this condition," Ram said, choking on his words.
"Maybe she did the right thing in walking away from this mess - and me too," he said, showing his back to Alekha and Shardul as he felt his eyes sting.
"Ram, I understand you're upset, but you need to relax," Alekha consoled him. "We'll find a solution. You don't have to marry Dr. Priya in haste like this. Imagine Ram. I was worried when you suggested a contract marriage, but now if you marry her, like, normally, it changes everything. Ram, if anything goes wrong, she will be legally entitled to half of everything you own. Think about it, Ram. Who's the only person who stands to benefit from whatever has happened today? Dr. Priya. What if she's the one who leaked the papers? Or had someone do it on her behalf? You can't do this, Ram; it's too big of a risk!"
Alekha's high pitched and anxious voice hung in the silence of the room.
"Aloo, we've had this conversation before," Ram said with an outward sense of calm. "I know you have your doubts about Dr. Priya, but I trust her. I can't put it into words, but there's a certain honesty and sincerity about her. I was the one who had gone to talk to her about the contract, but by that time she had already gotten one prepared with almost the same clauses that I was going to put in. If she was hiding something, she would have made a ruckus at my suggestion that very day. And then whatever happened on New Year's day when I took Jaan to her clinic... I'm not wrong here, Aloo; Dr. Priya is not a gold digger," Ram said with a tone of finality in his voice. "And in any case, my Jaan's life and happiness is worth more than all the property I have; I could give it all up in a heartbeat if it were for my Jaan."
Ram looked up at Shardul, who had remained a silent spectator to all that was happening so far, waiting for him to say something.
"Ram, I don't think Dr. Priya is a gold digger either. In fact, I think she's a sensible, kind person. I doubt she would play games with us, especially with Maa's health, just for the sake of money," he said softly but surely, giving Alekha a sideways look. "But you need to know what you're doing. Once you're married, it's a done deal; you will be partners for life. You will both have to live with the choice you make today, and there's no walking back. And even if Dr. Priya agrees, how are you going to explain the contract to Maa when she wakes up? We still need to make sure she gets the surgery done. Have you given that a thought?"
Ram was plunged deep into thought once again.

In the meantime, Sanjeev, Anju and Ritika reached the guest room Priya was in.
"Priya, help me understand what's happening. You know I will stand by you, no matter what. Tell me what is bothering you. Please" Sanjeev spoke to Priya, the anguish in his voice making her look up at him.
"Priya, why don't you say something? I know you don't love Ram Kapoor... But what is all this about a contract marriage?" Anju jumped in, unable to hold her tongue any longer.
"Priya and Ram don't love each other? You knew it and didn't think for a moment that you should have told me? I knew something was not right, but I didn't expect you to keep it from me Anju. Are you so blinded by Ram's family's riches that you can't tell right from wrong? Shouldn't you, as a mother and as a woman, have stopped her from making such a mistake. And I still don't understand what is all this about a contract!"
It was rare for Sanjeev to lose his cool, but the Sood family was seeing him in the sort of rage they rarely saw him in—so close to breaking point.
"I'm sorry, Papa; I've let you down. It's all my fault. I'll tell you everything, I promise. But before that I need to speak to Mr. Kapoor." Priya apologized meekly, not daring to look Sanjeev in the eye.
Sanjeev didn't utter a word. He went and quietly stood by the window, shoulders drooped, disappointed.
Priya nodded to Ritika, gesturing to her to take care of Sanjeev and Anju as she turned to leave the room and find Ram.
She had an answer to his question.

The first and second part, as you might have observed, are devoid of any fluff or random jokes thrown in haphazardly. While I find Ram and Priya's goofiness and banters adorable in general, I do not enjoy the forced humour when it takes away from the gravity of the situation.
My aim of writing this story is to infuse some semblance of logic to the sequence of events leading up to Ram and Priya coming (or not coming) together.

This actually is with reference to both parts, because I was short of time when I read p1.
It's so well constructed and well written, Dazzling! See, maiyya, Harneet, whoever, it's possible to clean up your mess and just provide a straightforward story, but nooooo! Others have to do it for you!
I like the simplicity, the logic, and the flow. I like that this Ram seems like the Ram we knew. I like that Kriti got out without needless drama and isn't demonised. I don't mind drama or a bit of deviation of characters, but I like logic and realistic narration, and this makes sense.
Please tag me when you update, but I'm going to now read all the parts together after you complete.
