What I noticed is Ranbir applies the blow-hot-blow-cold technique on people he wants to manipulate, sometimes he'd ignore-insult-gaslight the person and other times he'd act so sensitive, caring, joke-sharing.

Certian personalities *caughsociopathscaugh* can be incredibly charming and pleasant when they want to be or when they have a target they want to acquire. It is absolutely believable that Ranbir, while pursuing some of the women he dated, was the absolute perfect gentleman, charming, loving, etc. By the time his real personality came to the surface the girl was already in love. And as the stereotype goes, girls in love don’t give up so easily. They think they can fix him and he will be fixed and change for her because he loves her blah blah blah.

In this case specifically, more than likely Rashmika is just giving sound bites for promotions. Did Ranbir hit on her and pursue her? It’s Ranbir so it’s very much possible. But more than likely it was a promotional tactic.
