Marrying Haya is just dumb so I don’t necessarily put that in the negative category so I’ll let that pass. MR is terrible but none of the cast see at that way, not one that was interviewed? Especially Yumna saying he isn’t grey? Like how? I can’t accept that they all have such problematic views on this. That is so troubling if that’s the case.

“Murtasim does not have anger issues, he just has a huge ego, and that ego is connected to love!” responds Wahaj. “And it’s not toxic”, he makes sure to add!

He has anger issues.

Yumna said that except Murtasim every other character has grey shades. And she also said that no character is problematic. And she also said that to fulfill her dreams Meerab kept her family aside.

All of these things are not true. May be they were given briefing like that about their characters.

I want the clarity from the team about MR.

In SH review Aamna said that Wahaj and Yumna will not give interview. This is such a good opportunity for the team to tell the viewers that it was not MR if it was not. I understand Wahaj does not give interviews much but I want Yumna to give interview to SH.

I did not like it that the team knew the outburst happening in the social media but no one came forward and said that it was not MR if it was not. Hira's live also didn't give any clarity.

They say yumna doesn't hang out with industry people,

I say she only hangs with whom her vibes matches i.e the unproblematic ones....

P.s This trio is my dream team from Pakistani Entertainment Industry ♥️

Pak industry is very very small, journalists ko ye sab pata hota hai. This MR thing was confirmed by Rabia from Fuchsia and by Hassan and Amna. Inn teeno ne bola they talked someone from team. These guys are friends with the producers, director's, channel heads and actors. These are not like Indian journalists who doesn't know celebs. Inko inside information hoti hai I have noticed that after watching their reviews from 1-2 years.

Have you seen NM's recent IV clip that is going viral? She is not talking about TB there but she wa talking about how can she show MR in dramas and she described it the exact way what was shown in TB........"ML pehle ladki ko dhaka dega aur phir darwaza band karega". That's what she said she will do while presenting MR scenes on scree.

Also, for these guys MR isn't a big thing. Jaise Maria ne bola tha if is between husband and wife it is not wrong.. They don't feel it is wrong.......so, I won't be surprised if it was actually MR and there won't be any mention of it.

The show has shown a lot of problematic stuff which has not been talked about.......Haya's trying to kill the baby and Haya's knowing about MZ eloping Mariyam. A lot of things could have happened there but no one said a word to her.......... attempt to murder and possibility of R was a minor thing of the makers, Haya wasn't called out by anyone.

They Gave such wrong messages in TB

They normalized forced marriages, physical violence, eloping, black magic, made fun of parents kids relationship, vamp got free chit for all her bad deeds and so on.

It's a regressive drama

My only niggle here is that if the team did not think MR is a big thing, would they have portrayed Merub's trauma and Murtasim's guilt in E47 the way the did.

Yumna's body language, her expressions in E47 - the anguish on her face, clutching her stomach and her wobbly walking as if in pain, the way she was sitting in the room on the floor hugging herself making herself physically small, her shaky hands - are all heavily coded as violent sexual assault. Even those folks who do not think MR is rape will certainly agree that she is a victim of domestic violence.

Similarly, Murtasim's guilt. The severe tod phod. The self-harm. The symbolism of zameen pe rultu hui chaddar (izzat). It all points to Murtasim having crosses a highly unacceptable line. Like someone who has forced themselves on their partner.

People who think MR is not a big deal - or mazaa ayega - will not show this type of traumatized reaction. Only someone who recognizes that MR trauma is like the trauma of any other type of rape / sexual assault (or even worse). That the breach of trust it generates is devastating.

But if the makers recognize the gravity of MR trauma then why would they agree to show the inanity that comes letter - the longing, saying yeh meri saza hai jo maine apne aap keliye chunni hai, saying he was a good guy, naming your child Meesam, the lack of any remorse or guilt after E48.

Why would Merub who never forgave Wanila for not opening the door that one night despite their various attempts at reconciliation would not revile MK for what he did.

Hypno, they are obviously going to show immediate reaction of the FL and ML after MR.

@Bold: Definitely agree with this. The way Merab was sitting and the expressions where of MR that's why the voice over was not fitting there.

But it doesn't mean the makers take these things seriously. They show immediate reaction but then in the long run it still doesn't matter.

In Ranjha-Ranjha , the FL was R by her husband she was a strong female character. She was sitting the same way on the floor like Merab but then forgive her husband and stayed with him ( The ML was mentally challenged here).

Bashir Momin - The husband abused his wife physically many many times and one day he suddenly realised how wrong he was and they had a happy ending. The makers showed the pain of FL in Bashir Momin too but then gave happy ending.

Kaisi Teri Khudgarzi - The ML mentally tortured the FL and her family for 10-12 episodes and then he was given a redemption arc and at the end the makers portrayed him like a saint. Here also they showed the pain of FL but then again at the end made the ML mahaan.

I don't know if you have seen this. She is not talking about TB here but she explained the MR scene exactly how it was shown in TB.
