That's true that there is a closure in the way that someone died. But love wouldn't see that. If he loved her he'd search her like he said he would and keep hope till the world ends. Why did he say it? Wouldn't he be concerned that something happened to her? People wait 5-7 years easily and you'd think this guy would wait more or forever from all his promises
He can do whatever but his words and actions are completely different. This is the main problem.
