If your ex who walks out in you is now living with a man (just the two of them), where he is paying for all her needs and wants and the baby's too, what is the first conclusion anyone will draw - whether it is the East or the West.

Everyone will think she has moved on and has a new partner now.

In many cultures, this is fine.

In Pakistan, if neighbors so much as get a whiff that the two people living together (alone) are not married or are not siblings, you will be driven out of the neighborhood at best. At worst, someone will sic the cops on you or a mob of vigilantes will show up at your doorstep. I mean, in Pakistan, we have cops stopping cars on the regular asking to see nikah namma if they see a young couple together in a car.

So yes optics matter esp. in Pakistani society.

Meerub have zero self respect...living off a old couples and a auto drivers earning. Planing to raised her child. She is not that meerub who wanted to be a lawyer. I doubt is she even educated enough.

What you are saying is that the contract was not her buying time till she is ready to accept this marriage.

Instead, what you are saying is that her end goal was always divorce as she never intended the marriage to work.

BUT there were plenty of moments where she could have left and used that opportunity to her advantage to pursue divorce.

  • Why not go back with Wakas & Anila in E21 when they said to her to come home with them as they do not like how she is being treated there
  • Why not stay back in Karachi in E28 when MK said tumhari marzi if you want to come to Hyderabad.
  • Why not take the opportunity in E19 when MB kicks her out to leave MK.
  • Why not use tumhari marzi ki azaadi tumhe mubarak ho in E42 to her advantage to separate from MK. Itna rone ki kya zaroorat thi keh tumhe ghar se nikaal dia

You speak logic!

And girl that is the problem. I thought exactly as you. She had multiple exit points. Her end goal is she doesn't know what she's doing. Discover herself? 🤣 I'm sorry she can't discover or even plan her next meal without other people's help or donation.

Which is why the script is messed up. On top of certain changes nooran wrote the most disjointed convoluted story ever.

Also what's will her inner monologues? How'd she get that after 50 episodes? Sh never had those before. Others did 🤣 think think!

SB has two jobs to make ends meet. The old couple is retired and living off on his pension or savings. Tgey have no kids so there is no source of supplemental income. These people are shown to be lower middle class at best.

Ab uske oopar se Merub ke medical bills they have to pay out of pocket plus all costs associated with raising a child.

She is mooching off on people with limited financial means themselves. Kal ko uncle aunty ko khud hospital ki zaroorat pad gayee toh they would realize that money has been spent on Merub's medical bills instead.

The sense of entitlement so far is staggering (tumhari kiya haisyat mujh se sawal karne ki).

I hope they show us that she is giving children tuitions or something to supplement the incomeof those poor people who are supporting her.

it’s not medieval thought.

A women who is staying at man’s house, who is alone is not looked nice upon any society.

I give you an example: recent time.

war in ukrain driven many women and children out.

UK offered to help young women. After few months, it was well on headline, you can look it up. Most single female staying with single men got sexually assaulted.

this news 2023. UK.

The so called medieval mentality is there to protect women.

I can’t imagine that in day Pakistan or Asian culture. Where religion value is extremely high.

The whole idea meerab staying in a man’s house will be beyond weird.

If she stays in couple old house, that will be acceptable but not in a single man’s house.

drama should never promote this.

This whole process is no way medevil term, if it is then as a female I am glad it’s there to protect me. Nowadays we don’t know what Male and Female thinks (female tend to be far worst). You may disagree but as a female I wish for my chracter never to be questioned. I wish not to put my self in a situation where I will be a victim. Society sometime is there to protect you. Telling society is negative all the time is wrong. Because of that society we are safe and sound.

end of the day regardless how much we say we r equal to men, we are different. That’s the fact.

Female are tend to get abused more than a single male.

You may blame this upon men but as a female I should know what’s good and bad for me
