I think murtasim was always attracted to her as I said before. He never openly rejects the rishta to Anwar. He only does so when he thinks she isn't inclined to marry him. But he treats her as his fiance. His comfort level with her in his bedroom vs haya is sky and ground lol.

The second she said yes. He went and asked her If she hated him. And ma begam keeps saying she wanted her for murtasim if not having noticed his crush lol why would she do this.

He has repeated he wouldn't have married haya if the circumstances had been the same.

He made eyes at meerab whenever she went close to him or was hurt. They kept saying murtasim always brought meerab wherever. And waqas said he always wanted meerab to marry murtasim why lol.

I imagine as kids meerab misunderstanding him. And him being protective. And keeping her in inline.

I think he always wanted her. If she showed 3 percent of interest in him. He would have melted. From the get go. Meerab only realized her doe eyes worked after the wedding and she could convince him of anything.
