Ofc Aloo & her family see the Kapoors as a huge brand name & ofc she wanted to marry her for that name. No 2 opinions about that. The rest I agree on. Most people especially Indians live to social-climb & marry “well.” It’s a different thing that I know a lot of women who wouldn’t marry a RK even on gun-point. 😆 But everyone makes different choices so Aloo went into this knowing full-well what she’s signed up for.

Bhatts were looked down upon and were never considered respectable or A class. They have very shady criminal links too.

Their films were also seen as vulgar.

Alia simply attached herself to a more respectable label.

I agree Kapoors are NOT as powerful as they are projected to be.

The hype will die down further with time as older generation that idolised Raj, Prithviraj, Rishi, Shashi, Neetu, Shammi, Lolo, Bebo, Babita, Randhir dies out or gets older and Kapoors do not even have nostalgia to cash on.

I was just answering about the abuse or womanizing part. Alia has seen worse at own home so why'd she mind Rishi or Ranbir's ways? If you have seen Mahesh Bhatt, Pooja Bhatt, Mukesh Bhatt, Rahul Bhatt, Vikram Bhatt etc while growing up, you have seen it all and nothing surprises you much.

Though I totally agree Kapoors are no longer the first family of Bollywood and those days are over when every member of their family was actor, producer, director, distributor and they were having own studios, theatre etc.

Aish still has a lot hype around her name. The first actress to really do a lot of Hollywood work. Jaya B is in parliament. Although she was never really acknowledged for having great political talent. But yes, Aish should really do more work. If Bachchans plan to stay relavent. After senior B dies they don't have much. As Junior B failed to make it unlike Ranbir.

Also the Bs have the Nanda’s as family too. So not all is lost. Ash I think just lives in her own world.

I referred to both old Bs for a reason as Jaya is an MP and a well connected woman herself.

Ash alone cannot run the hype of Bachchans. Given how much she has reduced her work and invisibilised self after marriage. I mean Madhuri, Kajol, Kareena, Sharmila and Hema have been far more active after marriage compared to Ash who seems to have lost interest.

Failure of AB Corp and Junior B really dented their chances to extend influence for more decades unlike Kapoors in past.

Aish has done around 12 movies after mrg including PS 1&2, Robot, Guzarish, Sarbjit, Raavan, Jodha Akbar, Sarkar Raj and ADHM..thats n impressive filmography.

Also Cannes gives her much relevance.

IMO she is better placed than many of her contemporaries

Hope aish does more work down south now. She and Tamil films are a better love story than anything. Hope ps 2 reignites her hunger. And yes, Aaru should work , if nothing then for kicking Patriarchy.

Honestly how does it matter even if she was pregnant before marriage? It’s their life so even if they had a shotgun wedding who cares.
