I think this rohail is being brought back to give closure.
Murtasim always felt Meerab will leave him one day and after the karachi fiasco he feared that she probably likes Rohail. Now, when he doesn't find her with rohail and comes to know she didn't even contact him, he will finally understand that she never had any feelings for Rohail.. He is going strong do far because he is sure that she is with Rohail.. But when he won't find her there too it will be a breaking point for Murtasim and hence the Meerabdas mode...
