I read someone saying Bollywood is Dead? Oh no, my friend, Bollywood is like a dramatic phoenix that just keeps rising from its own glittery ashes! It's true that the industry has been through its fair share of ups and downs, but it's far from six feet under.

Bollywood has always been a powerhouse of vibrant colors, epic dance sequences, and larger-than-life drama. It's like a Bollywood masala film itself, with all the ingredients of entertainment packed into one wild package. And guess what? It's still serving up those spicy, Bollywood-flavored movies that make us dance in our seats!

Sure, Bollywood has been evolving to keep up with the changing times. We're seeing exciting new genres, unconventional storylines, and experimental films that challenge the status quo. It's like Bollywood went on a self-discovery journey to find its groove amidst a sea of diversifying tastes.

I can confidently say that Bollywood is alive and kicking, ready to dance its way into our hearts with its unique blend of entertainment. It's a never-ending saga that's here to stay.

That's true. But even entertaining films like Pathan are working big time.

We should give the Mainstream Hindi Cinema some time...after Covid - with the changed film-viewing-habits and the growing of OTT - there obviously would have come a - more or less - difficult phase, especially when not changing the habit of remakes and poor content.

Pathaan was a special situation.

Movies openly supported (pr-wise and financially) by the government are also a special situation.

However, still good content and/or good performances are rewarded by the movie-goers 😊

To me, the biggest disappointment are shoddily made event movies, made for theatres (and not impressive on OTT)... Brahmastra was a disappointment regarding the story, Alia's character and the fake BOI numbers (and somehow I fear, that Adipurush will be of questionable quality...neither Om Raut nor T-Series give me some confidence).
