I know right!! That's whyI have stopped discussing and watching shows while they are on air. I mostly binge watch them and skip useless scenes. PTV toh still is fine as the dramas have finite episodes, I have been in ITV fandom and the situation there is worse, fans start bullying you if you say anything against their characters, it sucks and you start losing interest even in the show you might have enjoyed. 😆

Now, talking about MR in TB, well, it's pretty clear that it was there in TB originally and writer too confirmed it which they changed according to backlash with that cringe voiceover. The thing is when makers cast two good looking popular actors with a baseless story just to attract audience on the basis of chemistry, they will show every kind of toxic romance and give it the name of passionate romance. Audience will watch it because they would their favourite leads to end up together, no matter whether their relationship is worst kind of. Problem isn't that they are showing MR in dramas, problem starts when you justify and normalise it in the name of calling your leads 'flawed humans'. It has been a pattern in ITV which is filled with toxic male leads and doormat female leads and TB is no less than an ITV drama at present..😆

Last but not the least, off course, it is a fiction and one shouldn't take it seriously but then 'possessive' TB fans too shouldn't take any comments against their characters and story seriously and personally attack people for a mere fiction show and characters.. People have all the right to say something which they find problematic in the drama. And it's really disgusting of writer to include MR in original track and even normalise it in the name of romance..Even without MR, Meerub and Murtasim relationship was highly problematic and shouldn't be glorified by any means.

( like he had put up a story against his Aik Sitam Aur heroine Anmol shading her two days before Aik Sitam Aur's last episode, as a result, his heroine didn't mention his name in her farewell post of ASA )

Frankly I am just super angry at all the women involved with this show…beginning with the writer, the lead actress, the production head who kept turning up on all of the social media assuring fans that there is lot of romance between the leads..Yumna telling everyone in her IVs that Murtasim is a very good character, in the end all of them were making hay while the YT views were clicking away…so many of us are to blame that we hyped this show…but now it’s time to seriously step away from the show…and say it for it is.l.a big mistake and blob on PTV.

if anything at the least the show should have opened the discussion around marital rape. Imagine if they did keep the scene and Meerab files a case against Murtasim in court…what a groundbreaking show this would have been

Yep, I have watched that IV of Yumna. I am highly disappointed in her for saying that considering I am her huge fan and always considered her a responsible actress. Her doing TB is fine but saying those positive things about TB was really problematic.

I have seen the tweets and most of the fans who trended against TB for showing MR in the trailer were more concerned about Murtasim's character getting ruined for them to ship him with Meerab later or Wahaj's reputation going down for playing such a character rather than getting concerned about normalising MR in the name of passionate romance. The writer needs to be bashed the most for such regressive and disgusting storyline. She even said in her interview that she wants youth to imagine a romance like Meerab and Murtasim, I mean, how can you? Even if we eliminate that MR thing for a second, even Meerab and Murtasim's relationship was highly problematic and toxic.

Fuchsia interviews everyone but they are more dignified that SH and GL. After the marital rape blunter they decided to stop review TB even though it will heavily affect their views. They atleast is not ready to burn their brain for few more views 😆

The main problem with yumna is she likes her characters to be self pitied and victimized so that she can get all the attention she wants irrespective of her character portrayal which is what irks me the most. Wahaj hasn't been going around and glorifying murtasim, meerab or tb. She did in IVs and she didn't realize how wrong tb is for the masses.

I thought sidra the writer of mpht is worst but noorain beat her there too.

Atleast one should acknowledge stuff but yumna isn't concerned and why I am saying she should acknowledge it is because she said she is doing this for masses. If she didn't say this , I had no problem with her taking the script of tb because then she would have done it for herself to get more popular by doing this trash or for money but when she said masses , I think she is talking about people who have no sense of moral obligation and who are not enriched with sense of good or bad things shown on tv.
