If someone is trying to take their life - btw, it looked to me as if she was trying to hurt herself or take her life - that’s an indications of a sickness or poor mental state. At that time in the storyline, to Meerab, Haya was just super obsessive not evil. And if you want to talk about self- harm, it IS actually a mental issue. I know people that do this. I personally know them. It’s nothing to laugh at but good for you for conveniently ignoring this to defend your now not so Virgin-Mary-Meerab.

If Meerab has faults, she has faults. If you can’t defend her without needing to refer to Khan or Haya in the defense, then you can’t really defend her. You always refer to others in your defense of Meerab… that’s not great defense. I didn’t even refer to Khan there in my comment.

Look,I know Meerab is god’s gift to umankind/ drama land for you - I’m glad that you have found her to be spotless in character and action despite Nooran doing her best to make her a grey character. Good for you. Kindly understand that some of us can dislike her character AND think poorly of Khan and Haya at the same time. Maybe you need to accept that some… actually many…people don’t like her character? And that’s ok? Not everyone is deficient in their thinking and viewpoints, because it differs from yours, as you like to imply OVER and OVER again throughout these threads.

And again I’ll repeat. In many people’s opinion, smirking at someone trying to take their life or harm themselves physically is disgusting. Whether they are evil or not. A life is a life, a god given existence to many. To most people, even if not religious, there is sanctity in life itself. I’m not sure if there is some cultural nuance in how this is viewed. Maybe there is some difference that leads to my understanding. All I know is anyone here where I grew up in the west would be viewed as a lowly person if they made fun of that.

When in real meerab was the one who stopped mariyum from cursing haya to death, didn't want haya to face forced marriage, always told her to not ruin her life for a man.

But the man who beat rohail on birthday party, who sent his men to beat rohail for no reason is humanitarian.

Haya is an orphaned girl. Maa begum is her caretaker. That means she raised her. So these 3 murtasim, haya and Maryam all have to be so close in the initial years. So everytime haya does something wrong Maryam hides it, maa begum turns her gaze away, and murtasim doesn't care about those things. It's like saying laad pyaar ne bigaad ke rakh diya type. With no one saying anything haya thinks she can go anything without any repercussions.

This is exactly what we hear normally. With their childhood rapport, haya being a part of their lives in thick and thin, and her being orphan really plays a role in their way of talking. Then murtasim became gaddi's whatever and haya automatically became his responsibility. Now he has to bear her like an responsibility and then he has to remember her bring orphan and all the childhood days.

So may be that's why we don't see them taking any actions against haya bcoz they have done this their entire life. And it will continue till some big and humongous blunder happen and they just cut haya from their lives.

@bold : Haya lost her parents hence she can be termed an orphan... But there's another definition of orphan where it says an orphan is someone who doesn't have any guardian... In Haya's case she's never made to feel she lost her parents & she's always protected & treated equal to Maryam (or even better than her)

Remember Merub reasoning to Murtesim why she said yes to marriage? She said "main yatheem ho gayi hoon!" Which means she's become an orphan! Uski toh biological baap zinda hai & her foster family who had taken care of her earlier were still alive! Merub ka ghar & duniya jahaan usne poori zindgi guazaari thi, MB & Anwar ne cheen liya, in order to make her agree for Marriage! (And the same lady is asking Murtesim to divorce Merub in next episode's promo🤢)

Rehne ke liye ek ghar chaahiye tha, tabhi toh Merub ne shaadi ke liye haan kar di...lekin phir bui Merub ko be-ghar kar diya gaya,Maryam ki case mein! Haya ko zyaada se zyaada village bheja tha, uski itni saari galtiyon ki punishment ke roop mein, jahaan in logon ka doosra ghar hai!

Toh orphan kaun hui yeh sochnewaali baat hai!

@Red : MB Haya ki guardian hai, Murtesim bhi khudko aise hi maanta hai!

2) When a person grows into an adult in its true form they become responsible for their each & every action! The family & upbringing can't be held responsible for their every action! Ok, we can blame upbringing to an extent when it's about moral values & way of thinking. But not for actions!

Waqas ka Merub ke saath jo relationship tha guardian ka usse toh bohot zyaada kamzor rishta raha hai MB ke unke bachhon ke saath! Phir bhi har baar jab Waqas ko laga Merub kuch galat karnewaali hai he didn't kept quiet! Har baar reprimand kiya Merub ko! Chaahe woh Rohail thing ho ya Maryam kaand!

Upbringing woh ho jo kisi ko as a person "up" bring kar sake! Kisi ki gakti chupaake use criminal banne tak chup rehna, upbringing & protection nahin hote!

@Green : Murtesim was gaddi ja'nasheen before marriage too. Then also Haya was his responsibility. But then he used to shut her up when she used to go after him with her one-sided love/obsession! He used to be very rude & strict with her while fulfilling his responsibility of protecting her.

Accident track mein Merub ko nikaala gaya, misunderstanding jo create ki thi usne!

Accident bhi iski kaala jaadu se hua hoga, aise kaha tha MB ne!

MZ ke baare mein jaante hue bhi Maryam ko uske saath jaane se nahin roka! Maryam jise yeh behen kehti hai, uske saath sexual/physical ya phir kisi tarah ki assault ho sakthi thi!

Married man ko hug karke uski marital life mein jo zeher khola isne! Tabhi toh yeh sab hua... Merub chali bhi gayi!

Isse bhi bada kya karna hai!
