That's pretty much a popular opinion and basically Chand Tara review summed up in a sentence 😆https://www.instagram.com/reel/Cq23tpNP1Ju/?igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==
If there is obe thing i liked about chand tara it was the real hubby wifey feel these two had.
I recently watched the show for Danish and Ayeza and here are my two cents on it..
I for one think, HUM literally sucked all the creative juices out of Saima Chaudhary and Danish Nawaz with the pressure to deliver back to back projects for the sake of it. These guys really need to go on a break because they clearly have nothing good to offer right now. It won't be an exaggeration to say that Saima's writing was Chand Tara's biggest issue. She was unable to strike a balance between entertaining the audience and communicating a message at the same time. She failed to have any work done on characterizations and character arcs. The Director too had his own share of issues. His work seemed quite shoddy and you could actually tell he was only half interested with his presentation. The makers couldn't manage to get a strong ensemble cast as well. The show got dragged down as all of this piled up. Chupke Chupke was the only collaboration I liked between these two. I adore that show! 😳 After that I felt they just got boring all the more clearly with their most recent Chand Tara. Tbh, I enjoyed the first half of the show quite a bit because it was a lighthearted Romedy and I accepted that it wasn't a full-blown comedy like the previous shows. It was in the second half that it went all down hill with Saima screwing up with her female lead.
Throughout the show, I was on Sarim's side. When I say that he is one of the best male leads in PTV in a long time, I'm not exaggerating! Danish's portrayal of Sarim made him even more likable. Danish literally went from 'we dont want a Shamsher in our lives' to 'we all want a Sarim in our lives', real quick! 😆 Kudos to him for that! As Sarim, he was actually quite adorable. He has an incredible comic timing. It seemed like as though it was his home turf with how easily he was performing. Aise lag raha tha jaise mazey karke kaam kar raha tha! And how can i forget the very surprising 'stamina' wala scene! Haven't seen something of that sort in PTV🤣
At the same time, Saima did Ayeza dirty with messing up Tara really bad. 😆 Ayeza too should have been more conscious of the styling required to suit the character's profession. Other than that, pretty much anybody else in Ayeza's place too would have not been able to do much or save the character as the writing itself failed big time. There's only so much one can do then.
However, My biggest take away from the show was.. how a couple who's married for nearly a decade with two children manage to have such good chemistry? Now that's really something! ❤️😆 We don't really see that many examples of A lister (married) couples boasting of something sweet like that. IMO, they make for one of the prettiest real life couple in the Pakistani Drama Industry. The same reflected in their scenes together. They have a very endearing chemistry. For once a married couple looked and behaved like one in PTV. 😆There was good measure of skinship as well. I realized how important this detail is and how much it would enhance the scenes, which is something that is usually sanitized in dramas. Should just call it all sanitized romance! Ngl, looks abnormal! 😆 Here, they even showed Tara giving Sarim a sweet hand peck. 😳 Pemra must have let it pass cuz it falls under their definition of Halal Romance since they are real life Miya-Biwi after all, can't even argue there. Lines got blurred for PEMRA. 😆 I'm pretty sure these guys just improvised all the romantic scenes themselves. Good on them cuz it all looked quite refreshing and endearing to watch. ❤️ Too bad, it was all in pockets and the show as a whole didn't do justice to this pair! 💔
