Imagining an unrelated unauthorised person becoming part of my child’s class parents group & privy to the private conversations about so many minor children, getting to know maybe where they live, their daily routine, where they go for classes etc. Not only is it unprincipled & unbecoming of an upstanding citizen who happens to also be a CEO, I am sure it is illegal. In fact it sounds like a paedophile’s heaven! It is extremely dangerous & wrong of the makers to show this as if it is normal, cute & acceptable.

I live abroad but I appeal to those of u living in India to complsin to the Police or any child-protrction NGO against this serial.

I personally think chemistry is subjective and depending on the relationship, age, situation and personality. so there isn't a blanket look for what chemistry can and should look like. thats why it is magical in some ways because it can't necessarily be defined. TV is kinder for married actresses because they don't necessarily have to shake a leg or wear sexy clothes in a song -- which is how movies do romance in under 5 minutes. personally I think most movies suck when it comes to romances because there is literally no connection per se between the characters. the romance mostly exists for the song.

whereas with TV, they have the luxury of building out the romance which is done through character building, growth and situations. so it isn't necessary to have that kind of crackle and sizzle but you can still do a subtle version of that -- a gaze held too long, a small smile that appears unconsciously, relishing the food, unguarded compliment, calling each other in panic. it is all about good writing, range of expressions from actors and a nice camraderie between the actors that translates to the screen.

in one regional serial, the two leads (FL has adult son and daughter-in-law while ML never married) created chemistry where audience looked forward to their interactions even though none of it was the young people variety. still it was super cute as well as very moving.

you can also add in cultural elements which take on dhoom tana tana type proposions. an example is when the FL wears the jasmine flowers ML gave her. he is gobsmacked when he sees her and all she does is give him a small smile with tear filled eyes, takes her lunch basket which he came to give her and then walks away. the entire thing is done without any dialogue and had a lovely song in the background which had lyrics about life being renewed. the scene packed such a punch that I re-watched it several times and I usually don't do that at all.

why was the flowers significant? as a widow who lost her husband within a year of her marriage, she hadn't worn flowers for years. here, she accepts the flowers for herself and smiles as she sees herself in the mirror -- it is about giving herself the permission to live life. so when he sees her, you can see his heart in his throat because he never expected she would accept the flowers for herself -- he thought she would use it to do pooja or just put it on the desk as a room freshener.

all of this plays out as the daughter-in-law who also works in the same office happens to see this small interaction. not sure if link will work (first time sharing) but it is the first five minutes.

https://zee5.onelink.me/RlQq/v9yl3piz

it is a scene I loved that I still remember the episode number approximately whereas I usually have full amnesia once the drama stops airing. smiley36 for me, that is the magic of a mature romance because it is built on smaller moments that pack a far more emotional punch and hence stand out in some ways. when done right, audience love a mature couple and will keep watching even if the serial takes a turn for the absurd because they have hooked the audience emotionally.

The biggest irritation is there are no privacy for anyone in this show. Any one gets into anyone's space any time. Be it Viaan, Katha, Ehsan, Amrita, Keith, Dodo....the list is endless.

Another thing bothering me is that all the 8-9 year old kids are shown carrying mobiles to wherever they go, including schools and making calls to any one and everyone. Is it even allowed for a child to carry mobile?

My 10th grader is not allowed in his school and tuition centre to have mobile and use it.

don't worry; this is TV nonsense. as I keep posting, this drama is being written by amateur writers at the moment who have no ground reality of what seems to be happening in India.

in schools here, any messages are sent by school admin. they don't allow any whatsapp group or PT group because the parents start whining, complaining and go into rant modes which is a pain for school as well as teachers to handle. so it is strictly a message from admin only group. none of the other members can post anything. private infoboards are not allowed by schools and if they find out, the parents are asked to remove their children from school.

also, any number added to school groups are strictly those that are stated at the time of admission only. the school cannot even choose random number or choose to delete a number. for example, in the case of a divorce case and a custody dispute, unless there is a court order that clearly outlines that custody only belongs to one parent, the school cannot deny permission or information to the other parent. so if there is a whatsapp info group, both parents will be there because their names and numbers were listed as per admission records.

so technically a child cannot give random number to be added to group. any phone numbers will be taken from admission record only.

definitely not allowed. especially for primary school, definitely a no-no. schools will confiscate if they find and scold the parents. just TV nonsense as usual.

Exactly. Parents have to fill info sheet at the beginning of academic year. And only class teacher adds members to group.

We have all section grade 10 Moms group, but thats private, not made by school. And here are no teachers in that. So we vent out all our anger in that group.

Like you said, once a mobile was seized in my son's class from a girl and it was returned only at the end of academic year to parents.

We sign an undertaking as parents, regarding no mobile use by child in school premises, no social media use by children, and this year use of helmets for driving electric two wheelers by 10-12 class kids. Any violation of them, children will be banned from school premises for a week.

ITV has made fun of all these things, just like what they have done with marriages and relations

I will do that too, make an official complaint, group admin make sure the relationship of the gp member to the child

The parents gp mainly inactive since we can personally approach the school any time just send and email, they will contact immediately

No parents discuss any thing other than some occasional notice about some activities

I live abroad too

conflicts, disagreements and potential black name for the school is the reason why schools don't officially allow these groups. so these private groups are made through friendships and networks. so you don't have a bunch of anonymous strangers -- "parent #10" posting or ranting. you all know each other and so if there is a problem, you will pick up the phone and speak directly. you all know who is whose child and you won't randomly add some number where you don't know the parent. it will be vouched for by other parents right before you add them right?

basically this is all fictional TV just like with marriages and relations as you said.

Mango ji reading at the brief description of episode justified my absence for me from the episodes, Honestly I'm looking forward to the real story(IMO the leads getting together) to move forward and this baby 👶 sitting nonsense to end. My 2 brain cells 🤪aren't able to see any connection with the ongoing track and the real story. The unfortunate truth for paternal leave in Europe is, it exists for namesake and work pressures never let a person make use of them at all(personal experience).

I'd accept the nonsensical viaan of the other end over the viaan at this end RN.

I want Shimokatha, Shalzie, Bana, smriti81 ji or others to infuse some positivity. Mili ji need your hilarious take(badly in need of 😃) Bhavi dear your collage, kushiji your logical insights and mango ji some thought provoking take on all the above voices.

Story aage na bade lekin discussion tho zaroor bada sakte hai hum sab milke 🤗.

Come on people bring it on🥳

I feel like the writers are again proving that they are a bunch of people who have no connection to Indian reality and this whole track feels even more disconnected and again inspired by some western show the writers watched in their spare time and thought "lets steal that idea, it is cute!". sorry, writers, but these ideas do not translate at all.

#1 -- it is absurd that a single male is spending the night in married friend's house all the time. it doesn't matter if he is supposed to be there to babysit because she has a husband and as a couple, they should be taking care of their own baby. are keith and amrita orphans without relatives?. why do they need a non-relative coming and going so much at all sorts of odd hours? unless there is some affair going on, there is no reason for viaan to be this involved. it is absurd to the core and just looks wrong. where are the boundaries?

#2 -- it is absurd that a random person is interviewing nanny for a household. this is a private financial matter. even if me and my relative are very close -- say a sibling relationship, I still cannot interview a servant for them and neither can I set terms or ask questions because this isn't my house. hiring help is something that is done by an individual household according to their budget and whims. there are boundaries here that you cannot cross. why would an outsider be involved in the hiring process? unless viaan is paying for the nanny, I don't get why he is involved in this.

#3 -- it is absurd the way viaan asked questions. not to be classist here but anyone who has hired a servant knows that those folks have to be handled with a certain amount of finesse. they may not have money but they have pride a mountain high and will give it back to you if you ask questions like "what will you do if the baby cries etc". you cannot cross examine them the way viaan is asking questions -- it will be taken as a sign of disrespect. if my servant lady was there, she would have seriously given some dhishoom dhishoom verbal slaps to a character like viaan

also, men are generally not involved in the hiring process. it is usually the women of the house who are doing the interviews and they generally will have a chat about who the servants are, their past work history, what those families were like etc etc -- it is all about figuring out the vibe to see if you can work with them and they can work with you. any specific questions are about money, timing and workload. thats it.

#4 -- I am not sure if the show is trying to show the need for father leave as they have in Europe but katha mentioning the need for maternal leave is a bit strange. this is not viaan's baby. viaan is not related and the baby has a real father and mother who seem to be superly incompetent. still, viaan being there has no relevance to the story and does not add anything to the romance angle. right now, there is zero chemistry between viaan and katha.

and I agree with you -- comparing it to worser shows does not make this a gem. the makers have really dropped the ball considering they had an original dizi with 90 episodes which would work out to 360 episodes if you break that into half hour. so it is not like they needed material to puff it and stretch it. 🤦
