Neetu Singh is another one who tolerated all drunken brawls, affairs, domestic violence by Rishi and RK admitted in his autobiography that he took out frustration of his flops and work issues on Neetu and treated her like a punching bag.

They have also married in big business families or political families. They have produced Padma awardees, National awardees, Rajya Sabha members, Phalke awardees. They have been producers, directors, distributors, writers and not just actors. They have been in theatre and Prithvi Theatre is still a big deal. RK Studios was a force once upon a time.

Even their gossip, rumours, autobiographies sell. There was talk of making Kapoors' ancestral home in Pakistan as some cinema museum.

They no longer hold as much power as they had earlier but their past goodwill, wealth, political connections and connections abroad are enough to hype them up. Raj Kapoor was literally India's cultural ambassador abroad at one point and wildly popular in USSR and sort of symbol of goodwill between India and USSR at one point. He was also wildly popular in China and Awara was a huge hit there.

Kapoors have been milking his name and his closeness to Nehru-Gandhi dynasty for ages.

He has built enough legacy for his generations to live off his name and fame for few more years.

Anyway Kareena married into Pataudi family where Tiger Pataudi was a famous sportsman cum nawab, Sharmila was a legendary actor and Saif is a nawab cum well known actor. Ranbir married Alia who is a top star. So they keep in limelight. Shweta Bachchan and Navya are also related to Kapoors through Nandas. Kapoors have well connected samdhis also. That is why their name holds weight compared to others.

There is no khandaan in Indian cinema industry that has produced as many persons in showbiz as Kapoors and has married into equally high profile or famous families as Kapoors.

The only ones which may somewhat come close is Bachchans which has Amitabh, Jaya, Abhishek, Ash. Or maybe Mangeshkars which has Dinanath Mangeshkar, Lata, Asha, Usha, Hridaynath etc. Or perhaps Akhtars and Khan (Salim Khan clan), who have lot of family members in showbiz.

Are we sure that Ranbir dumped Katty and not the other way around..RK looked more butt hurt in JJ interviews and was being a disgraceful EX while Katty showed class and exercised restraint as much as she could. And I am quite appalled with how people mock Vicky Kaushal..the guy is literally super nice and very relatable and wonderful..plus Katrina has so much money..she doesn’t need to marry for money for sure.. As for Aishu..Bacchan tag gives her prestige and power..it’s sad that apart from Abhishek..other Bacchans don’t seem to be getting along with Aish and vice versa..otherwise right after the marriage Aish and Bacchans loved flaunting the whole HSSH vibe Or Kahaani Ghar Ghar ki drama..

I had gone on an outing with a group of friends and there were unknown faces from my college too. Once one of friends mentioned who my uncle is, I was treated differently, with respect, I was more involved in discussions, was taken more seriously, people wanted to be my friend

Anushka did same. She brought her brother Karunesh in industry and he handles her production house now.

Ash's brother had also entered industry as a producer when he produced Dil ka rishta. Her sister in law Shrima is also some pageant winner or influencer.

Kangana's brother and sister are part of her production house and her sister is her manager.

Ashutosh Rana was outsider but he married actress Renuka Shahane and I guess their sons will also join showbiz when they grow up. Irrfan's son Babil is in films now. Irrfan was outsider.

All bhai bhatijawaad. Dharam was outsider and made his own dynasty through Hema, Sunny, Bobby, Abhay, Esha - all in showbiz.

Sushmita's daughter is also acting now. Her BFs also often used her to get limelight. I remember Randeep Hooda first made news and got featured in Filmfare as Sush's new boyfriend. He accompanied her everywhere and met producers through her. Dumped her once he began to get work on his own. Proper male gold digger and social climber.
