So as I think about it more, what really irks me and adds to the annoyance with the turn of events is not that he feels guilty/ she feels she let herself down. I can wrap my head around that for them. It’s the overly exaggerated responses - I didn’t buy them …for what they were trying to depict. Her leaving and running around Karachi in the middle of the night, stumbling as if she was abused/sick/ escaping a monster who’s kept her in captivity. Even if you’re disgusted with yourself, you don’t really stumble while you’re walking. Him punching the mirror over and over again to punish himself. That is complete overkill and kinda weird. Now, if that reaction was for MR, then I could completely understand that reaction. But just feeling very very bad, guilty, regretful, doesn’t usually lead to MULTIPLE furious determined mirror punches.
Weakness is not “non-consent” … there is a BIG difference and I can’t equate the two even remotely. While I can see him feeling guilty for giving into her weakness, I can’t see it to the degree of guilt and anger that causes one to punch a mirror several times. I think they really wanted to add that dramatic element and scene, and just like some of their heavy dialogues sometimes, it fits weirdly, thereby causing mass confusion.
P.s.. don't kill me. If I'm wrong. This is only what I think.
I think MR was never on their scripts. The actors were told angry s*ex or something. So they both agreed.
But they couldn't execute. Actors don't always see the entire scene. They just go with days script and dialogues. If they think that something was wrong they talk to directors or creative people. That's it. They just trust their directors, creative heads, writers to do THEIR jobs.
We are to blame only the channel or creative people. Coz they knew that they were doing with this. They wanted TRP. They thought by this time TB craze would've lessened and they wanted to garner trp's and be consistent on top.
As the OG comment said the responses to angry s*ex was so OTT it traumatized us. If they would've shown not talking or feeling awkward moving here or there in the house. That would've served just fine. But no. They wanted boombastic reaction. so the mirror breaking, hero going to cliffs, heroine not even remembering she came with her parents to ruksati. They just wanted something to keep the audience on hook. This would've been ok if the audience left the show in between coz it was bring dragged and by seeing all these scenes got back bcoz these scenes were so reacting.
Viewers would've definitely tuned in again to see how they will show happy ending with all this. But they really under estimated their actors. Arey bhai you knew you got powerhouse actors and if you give such scenes this is exactly what they do. They make the audience brain and heart churn like anything. That's what happened. We all know yumna's acting in emotional scenes. She did what she has to do and boom channel didn't expect what they got. 🤪
But what I don't like is how the writer said about MR. She knew the outrage and that statement just poured oil in already blowing fire. She could've just said nothing or said it was not MR. Then this issue wouldn't have blown like this. So now everyone is keeping writer out of their mentions. She was definitely not right in the head.
P.s.s. I want to know what the TRP of this week. They just wanted TRP but got pemra notice, SM outrage to the point the headlines were on even local newspapers. And the outrage in Pak is entirely different story.
Sorry wrote an essay. 🙏🙏🙏Sorry if I hurt someone.
