Hey meerab wasn't a prop the entire story was about meerab's journey of balance between her heart and head. Murtasim was made attractive because we should root for him to be liked by Meerab. The OST was also about the internal tussle between heart and head/mind of meerab.

She's deliberately shown to have the flaws to show a character growth.

IMO her becoming mother and her challenges after leaving KM will unravel the real meerab.

Haya is insignificant and never deserved a mention even by naurez. So her standard is low, only slightly above the servant maids and haya's well aware of her status.

Hence, haya tries to woo and get married to murtasim so that she becomes the khani or khanum for the KM.

Haya 😈 intentions are well known to MB hence she never wanted haya to be her DIL.

I repeat the telugu filmi dialogue again cats, lizards and people like haya doesn't deserve any attention.🤣
