Many victims at that time backed out as well due to constant threats and humiliation from the perpetrators, that’s why a lot of them didn’t get punished for years.

It was such a horrific chain of abuse that even the thought of what those girls must have gone through sends a chill down the spine.

Most of the victims were school going girls.

Apparently had a crime reporter at that time not exposed it in a local newspaper, it would have remained under wraps only.

From the main perpetrators to their acquaintances, political figures, their drivers, businessmen, the photograph developing lab technicians, their friends and acquaintances and many many more were all involved in the abuse. It was such a big chain of abuse that once the first suicide happened it quickly became the only solution for the girls, to get out from this trap of abuse 😒

Even the newspaper reporter wanted money in return to keep this a secret.

Sofia girls college was a well reputed college where daughters of many high profile figures studied... And were abused.

I personally think movies on gang rape/rape cases should not be made. There was a hollywood movie called dahmer recently. The victim's family was offended by the movie. It was traumatising for them. And the actor evan peters had to go to psychiatrist after enacting the role. Why do they agree to do such roles in first place?

The victims never get justice even after death like Junko furuta but movies get made on them. Pathetic.

How long before they label it as another propaganda movie? 🤔🤓

Well everything is a propaganda film for certain groups if it doesn't show their ideology in good light.

Many of us didnt know about these things cause that time Newspaper was the only medium and it had a very short shelf life unlike today if you have said something it will be there for others to see for years if not eternity.

Plus it was easy to exert political or other pressure on newspaper management to suppress a certain news.

Today they can't control the number of people sharing the news by pressuring them not to because of the sheer size of population having mobile and internet.
