I'm also loving the fact that majority of the fans, viewers and critics (apart from fan pages who are anyways delusional and rabbid) are not buying the edit or the original.

They had more than 3 months to redo this. TB reached new heights in mid Feb.

This silly voiceover and edit is now letting the producers go scotch free. They're like you don't like it because it doesn't make sense well then it's your fault for crying . You get this. Where action, emotion, scenes don't match monologues at all.

But showing MR would end murtasim.

They put the blame on viewers when this is their fault to Begin with. Why would you have someone like murtasim do MR if you can't build him up a little like that.

I really need to see what they actually had in mind to understand what's going on. I hope they release all uncut versions once the drama is over.

My brain says of course MR happened.

The visuals do not match the monologues at all.

Merub's body language, expressions, the devastation, the anguish is so obviously coded as SA.

MK's guilt - the punching of the mirror - is commensurate with a great and unforgiveable sin

None of these xtreme reactions line up with regret or guilt after consensual sex (CS).

At the very least, they should have edited out scenes of MK thod phod and Merub walking on the streets. The way MK and Merub looked in those scenes - mera dil dehal gaya - and it becomes impossible to entertain any other explanation.

If the intent was to set up a MR vs CS suspense, drag this mystery for 2-3 weeks, and finally reveal it was CS after all, then the acting and direction is a total FAIL. The reactions needed to have been much more ambiguous and toned down for this fookin disgusting mystery set up to be viable. Even if you are to show me FB of scenes leading up to CS and why both characters end up looking so devastated post-consummation, I still won't be able to decipher those visuals you gave us as anything but SA.

I still can't fookin believe this is the contract breach we had been anticipating for 40+ episodes. The mazedaar scene NM promised us 🤢

I still can't fookin process why the actors and the makers would lie to us so blatantly and egregiously - MK is the only non-grey character, he logical, he is not toxic, he is the best, Wahaj is just like MK, this is a light drama, etc.

I still can't fookin understand why would you develop a character like MK this way for 45 episodes only to have him rape his wife. i have not seen all tenets of story telling and writing so violently butchered and sh*t on like this show. There is subverting genre expectations and then there is genre ki g***d phadna. NM needs to be banned from writing ever again 😡

I feel i have been punk'd. I thought I was watching romance but it was a fookin crime horror. Where the cute charming guy on campus was Ted Bundy, or the friendly man who entertained young children and dressed up as Pogo the Clown at parties was John Wayne Gacy.

I still can't fathom why actors who would not do thappad scenes will do this - even going so far as to add a slap and spit scene to justify MR (as this was not in the original script). Since the slap and spit were added in filming, clearly, the actors and makers discussed how do we make it look that Merub deserves to be raped. Like what even. Who the eff has this conversation and not once say that this is a fookin terrible idea. And for actors who talk about responsible capitalism and back projects like DNUTN and DSJHS, to not shut this line of discussion is beyond disappointing. I am fookin incensed.

Bakhtu brought up death and there was the flashback of Murtasim saying he wouldn’t die for Meerab. I don’t think that’s where the story is going though. They know people were offended by the slap but they had so much time to redeem Murtasim since it happened so early. This is happening so late with no time for a redemption arc (I couldn’t watch it if they did that). The show has been so popular from the beginning so they had to have known that they would receive a significant amount of backlash. I still can’t wrap my head around everyone praising Murtasim while knowing he’s going to commit MR like it’s nothing. They can’t all be that insensitive. Also as much as NM is getting on my nerves, some of her storylines are in favour of women (ex. Mariam). This is why I have such a hard time believing that MR had occurred. We need to see what happened behind those closed doors. There probably was some aggression from Murtasim’s side but they’re probably playing it super safe now that they’ll never show us.

Never heard monologues of Meerab in last 46 episode but i guess we will hear it more now maybe.

Murtasim was written more roughly. In an interview with amna, wahaj said he tweaked quite a bit (in amnas words)

He got the slaps removed from like every second or third episode. But they forgot or didn't care to adjust meerabs reaction. That's why Meerabs reactions appear over the top. They didn't adjust her.

Basically a project done badly and overlooked storyline is the end result of such negligence.

As for MR. You are looking at it as a sane and from a human being point of view. See it from Noorans pov. She thinks if he is in love, handsome loving kind and then it's okay.

It doesn't even register to her that what she's written is wrong. Even after the entire continent corrected her.

It's her upbringing. Sorry to make it personal about her but it's her upbringing in a feudal system that she takes MR so casually.

There should be a background check for script writers 😆
