I don't watch it but likewise, have been reading/seeing posts about this one. I have only watched a few of pak dramas like humsafar, zindagi gulzar hai and suno chanda here n there. other shows had too intense storyline for my liking.

@marital rape - it's a very sensitive issue and I really hope if they intend to show it, they show the culprit getting punished. given the kind of culture south asian countries have, its important to show and give right messages especially on these topics...

oh wow, that's quite a few shows!! i only heard about humsafar and ZGH. my grandma watches pk dramas but i never got around watching any yet

i completely agree about giving the right message..south asian culture tends to normalize martial rape because it's their "husband" 🤢 really hope this show deals with this issue sensitively, especially considering they have such a huge platform owing to the show's popularity

Yeah, it was long back when i was in india and our channels used to show their shows too. watched SC here n there last year, but i was worried about the ML and FL being first paternal cousins, so couldn't relate much to it.

bold - so true. this issue is very sensitive. they should ensure they don't further glamorize it if not help raise voice against it at the least.

Watched the promo. since i don't know the story or characters much, based on that clip, I think it's either r*pe or manhandling, both are punishable imo.

eww i always find the concept of marrying cousins so creepy. imagine calling someone brother or sister your whole life and suddenly boom, they are your spouse 🤢 i personally know some people who have done this and my brain still cannot digest it

bold - Tell me about it!!! It's totally creepy, not to forget leads to genetic complications in next generation of these kind of couples. I don't know how it's shown. have seen it increasing as a trend in pak dramas, hope it stops.
