I suspect that this article is another piece of poor writing that has taken her comments out of context. doesn’t seem like a reputable source. Just like Nooran has done some stupid script writing, and her and Marie are stupid for prolonging the suspense… they could at least shut down the MR angle, but they are not on purpose to drum up the watch value. At least the Maryam character has said the promo was misinterpreted. But Marie and Nooran are now actively pouring gasoline on the flame with these cryptic words.

People would literally have zero interest in Murtasim and Meerab after a MR situation… the show would be done and all of their reputations and respect down the drain. The way they are confidently staying mum… there’s a reason.

Btw… “ek din thum khud ye papers phadogi” is coming…meerab would not tear the papers if she was maritally raped now would she!

But why do viewers fall for it? Why do we jump the gun by just watching a 2 min promo? Am not questioning the instant reactions but am appalled at certain judgements that are being made without even seeing the full picture. So many posts in Twitter and even in this forum today had pretty much confirmed it is RAPE , so why do we assume the worst case scenario the minute we see a disheveled appearance of a woman - are we actually normalizing certain scenes/situations?

And there are also people who are saying,"Oh,even if it is not a rape that fact that they implied it is disgusting" - It's purely a clickbait but y cant we stop falling for it and use our voice of reason (after things settle down a bit). Just trying to understand here!

The way that promo was cut was not fair

The way we accuse Murtasim character for something he has not done yet is not fair

The way it is discussed Meerab deserves this is not fair

The way we accuse the actors for doing their job is not fair

You know what is the most unfair thing. The audience who spend the last few months of their lives watching this show with love, devotion and passion, who gave their hearts and souls to loving these characters we don't deserve this tension this anxiety this fear. The show is angst we knew there will be pain in this love story, I was ready for pain but there is a difference between pain and torture.

I have faith but my problem is seeing the collapse of the social media, and the infinite discussions on characters I love and admire to be called rapists and victims of rape. It is like seeing my incomplete beautiful painting being spitted upon before it even had a chance to be admired.

Lets please stay calm and wait for the episode to air before passing any final judgements.

Yes I think it is purposefully a PR strategy gone wrong now. And Hira would know how it ends up… she said she’s not allowed to disclose it.

But She said this MR has been showed in previous shows too. Uska kya matlab hua, she is justifying her script.

Someone needs to tell her in past shows MR did happen like Bashar Momin (there BM the character was not glorified as robin hood, he was introduced as villain yes they redeemed that character in the end which should not have happened), MR was shown in Drama Zakhm again it was dark drama and male lead was a psycho. In Ranjha Ranjha kardi, MR scene was there but they justified it by showing that male lead was under wrong medications. Also he was not mentally stable. And in kashf, there was a villain who used to do MR with FL's phupho and her phupho took divorce from that villain. No one glorified rapist like this.

I am not saying anything on his motivations to take the role just that someone like him would have definitely read the whole script even if he was going to accept the role anyways.

I doubt. This is an important part of the story. Even if the entire script is not handy, the plot, climax will be.

WA was uncomfortable with slap scenes..he wouldn't have agreed for MR.
