Murtasim has confessed and confided in Meerub about his love for her, how much he values their relationship and he has shown her how he stands by her in that regard too - no matter what foolish acts she does. Haya and he have grown up together, she is after all his cousin (not a friend) and is living in his house as a part of his and his mother's responsibility. Has he ever not taken her side in front of Haya? Has he ever given Haya more importance than her? Has he ever led Haya to believe he is interested in her? Taking something out of her eye is not leading her on. He is definitely blind to her obsession and is stupid for ignoring how dangerous her obsession is - but he has not seen and heard what Meerub abd MB have. He does not know Haya used to do black magic, MB does. Meerub has heard from the horse's mouth how much she loves Murtasim and to what lenghts she has gone to take Meerub out of his life. Haya has herself told her this. But still, Meerub chooses to believe Haya and not her husband, who has time and again COMMUNICATED his feelings for her openly and even shown in his behavior.

As for Rohail, Murtasim has only seen her with him, listening to him trash talk Murtasim without Meerub so much as even defending him. Meerub has only complained to him that she is trapped in this marriage, she does not want to be here with him, she is unhappy.

She even uses Rohail's name to rile him up by saying crap like "yeah, I should have walked in holding hands with him".

She has not once let Murtasim know where he stands in her life. From his POV, Meerub probably and most likely puts Rohail above him. How do you think that makes him feel? Even during the Maryam fiasco, he was hurt because she put some "vaada" to Maryam before him and his feelings and his trust in her.

Meerub has been told many times what she means to him (in clear terms - "bas tum hi ho"), she has still accused him of having an affair with an old lady to Haya and has always treated him as if he's lesser than herself.

Murtasim has always told her how he feels about her and has kept her above others in his life, and even above his values and his thoughts regarding feudal traditions.

So, him doubting her with Rohail is more believable and understandable than her doubting him with Haya.

I will not comment on his actions until next episode confirms anything. But so far, Meerub is more in the wrong for her strange ideas of trust in a relationship that she has not given any trust or importance to so far.

@Italic Did u not seen his dialogues? It is he who first started by linking her with rohail. Where is rohail. Why u didn't come with him

Meerab post flat scene again & again told him he is misunderstanding her, not doing right by questioning her character, rohail is just her classmate.

Even when he called her besharm, she told him u always misunderstand me

Murtasim knows about haya's obsession for him more than anyone

@Underline Before that old lady scene, the previous day he spent whole night outside the home, when she asks him reason, he wantedly tells her he can be with whoever he wants, why is she asking him. He wantedly told dialogues like I am young, I can enjoy my life. He wanted her to feel he can be with another girl to make her jealous. She didn't doubt him for no reason.

Had meerab spent whole night outside the house, I can be with whoever I want as a reason when he asks her.

He would have lost it

Murtasim haya equation is not just ankhon mein se kuch lena

Meerab asks him to stay away from haya, the next day he takes haya to village when he has other options

Haya dresses as his wife, clearly strokes his hand still he acted clueless as if he can't guess why she dressed as meerab

Meerab caught him letting haya sit on the bed

Infront of meerab, he compliments haya dress in shopping even after knowing haya harmed his wife

He stays silent when haya flaunted he brought flowers for her, when meerab asks him for reason, he tells her will it look good If I asks her to return. For which meerab says so it's ok if wife gets upset but haya shouldn't feel sad.

If murtasim can feel insecure because meerab didn't admit her love

Meerab also can feel insecure seeing the way he gives leeway to haya since beginning infront of her, because they don't share intimate relationship. He anytime can go to haya for the lack of intimacy in their relationship according to her.

I absolutely disagree with the point that murtasim doesn't know haya evil nature. He is the one who knows more than anything. Haya always go to him, bitches about meerab, talks about her love, he knows how she harmed his wife out of obsession, how she dressed as his wife when they r alone.

It was pure violence. They could exposed haya in fact in today's episode. Or a simple progression in them. What more we asked for .

exactly...I would have preferred haya being exposed over this..

We have no clue on the circumstances of this sex or non sex act. Also regret after sex is criminal territory, girl gets the sympathy, power play dynamics, man has the upper hand physically, we have problems of coercion what was said before during and after. Woman has a right to say NO STOP at any point during the act and he must stop, all this we can't see on PakTv so we have to make big assumptions. I have a bad feeling about this. This only make him look bad and her the victim.

To show angry sex on TV is very risky, Desi/Pak/Conservative audiences won't even understand what happened if the dialogues are ambiguous and consent is dubious. And factor in all the censorship problems we can't see them touch, so how do they show consent.

I have seen so many Korean angry sex scenes but none of that will work for Pak TV, because of the no touch rule, can't take off clothes rule, no bed scene rule, too many rules to show proper angry consensual sex. This is dangerous territory.

The right to sex with wife is power controlled by the husband alone wife/Meerab's POV is irrelevant. TB has broken this stereotype and has made consent important so not sure how they will dance around this subject if they have angry sex, because angry sex has no impact on the contract.

Totally agree to this.. it's nearly impossible to show angry sex properly without showing actually showing it. Coz theres a thin line between consent n itll get lost here as itll be left for audience's imagination in PTV..

I'm still hoping for a big verbal fight between them n nothing physical.

My point still remains that, he has given more importance to Meerub over everyone else and has told her he loves her.

Meerub has never let him know what he means to her and has always been caught in situations where she has put everyone over him.

Trust is not about how you deal with the obsessed lover in your life, it is about trusting what your partner feels about you. For Murtasim there has been nothing from Meerub to give him security so his insecurity is understandable. Meerub not only knows Haya's intentions, she is also very much aware of the love Murtasim has for her. Yes, he may not be the ideal husband she would like, but he has told her in clear terms what this marriage and she mean to him, so her insecurity in this matter seem very out of place.

If this drama is to end in another 8 episodes:

• There is no consummation next episode. Merub leaves w/o consummation and separation track begins.
• Meesam is not MK and Merub's baby.
• Maybe she is Asim's baby. Or Naila's baby. Or someone else's baby entirely.
