Nooran has made this whole love story so toxic even without the MR that it’s hard to root for these two people.
For one minute if we leave aside the idea of the promo or next episode, just up until now if we think, Murtasim has not once disrespected Meerub in front of his mother or haya or Maryam. He has only been gentle towards all her kaands. The only time he reacted was the first slap and when he left her at her parents after Maryam. Even in the scene when he takes her hand, he is still gentle with her. He has not once (post slap) so much as even shaken her like how many so called angry ML’s do. He did not kill MZ who abducted his sister after he found her, so how the hell does one think that he will do MR with meerub?
Yes, he has been lenient with Haya and has never once given thought to her obsessions for him, but does that make him guilty enough? Has he ever listened patiently when Haya has badmouthed Meerub? He showed her her place when she told everyone ajout the contract. Meerub on the other hand, teases him, gets jealous of his interactions with Haya, calls him names, accuses him of having an affair with that old woman, slaps him and spits on him and listens calmly to Tohail more than once saying shit about her Husband. She also mocks him by saying she should have come in holding hands with Rohail. He on the other hand reacts so wildly to her meeting a friend and calls her besharam.
Why should these two characters be together? What is the love that they have? Just intense eye locks and jealousy if the other person is with someone else? No trust, no respect ( from mostly meerub’s side) so why should they be together?
slapping, spitting, being outright disrespectful, show of force- forget MR, even without that this show is a toxic love story.
Think of yourself - no matter how beautiful or handsome the person looks and gives you intense eye locks and loving gazes, if they behave like this in anger, will you still love them? Or will you want to be with them? I say this for mostly for Meerub.
