Just my pov,

First of all why did he go back after telling her Tata Tata bye!----He has to go back at some point , it was never meant to be a permanent separation. From what we've seen so far with these 2, they can never be mad at each other for long. And yes, he is still upset and disappointed with the fact she was a part of the elopement plan but that wouldn't have stopped him from going to karachi. You know, scenes like these are open for interpretation and I personally like it this way- each of us perceive it differently based on our own biases.

Second why go behind her to restaurant when he saw her with Rohail and why sprout murtabish-- He is super pissed off that she is meeting up with Rohail yet again even after that promise. He probably was expecting her to be wallowing in guilt and be super sad, so he just had to go n do something irrational! He is upset that she isn't doing anything from her side to make this relationship work.

Third when she comes to function why blink at her like she is some dream and illusion and when she walks away why not stop --- Because he really thinks that he is hallucinating her , he wasn't expecting her to be at the Walima.
