He gave so much unnecessary leeway to haya like giving consent for her to sit on his bed, feed him, touch his hand whenever she needs with the justification that cousin hai, hath pakad ne se kya hoga.

Still a no is a no. What he is facing is harassment. More than him, his wife facing mental harassment from haya.

But sadly writers never acknowledge this. We can sympathise with murtasim if he feels disgusted by haya actions, puts a full stop to her instead of acting like meerab misunderstanding, there is no fault of haya like he did in village scene.

We r pissed with hugging scene but murtasim has not done any emotional or physical cheating with meerab and similarly meerab did not do any cheating.

Both of them may be soft with third angles but it must be because of their past memories of those angles and they think just because they do not think of haya or rohail as a love angle so it does not matter.

They both need to start seeing them as threat instead of a family member or a friend.
