In whole world, this conversion is not a gender biased issue specifically targeted towards women, even from India more men were found in ISIS camp than women but this whole discourse on SM is about controlling Hindu women in name of protecting them in turn stifling their lives.

Religion which was a personal practice, is being forced as an identity. These people neither believe in God nor they respect God enough to understand that God doesn't need their protection.

Everyone should be taught religious practices so they don't leave their religion is their issue 🤦‍♀️ people joining ISIS is not the issue

On the other hand, millions of Hindu men join militant organisations like Bajrang Dal freely. Of course, this group is not comparable to ISIS but it is destructive

I don't want to sound intellectual or anything. I just don't easily believe in anything anyone says. Won't that make me dumb like those Hindu girls who end up converting?

Yes it will have a little dampening effect, the same way giving women freedom would also have some effect and stop them from getting fooled. There is no full proof or fast solution for this problem.

Not to believe anyone blindly is a good trait. Better to ask around and do your own research.
Giving Hindu children a solid grounding in their spiritual tradtions will minimise this.

Hindu girls have a lot more freedom and empowerment. They are educated, make their own decisions I dont understand what "more" freedom means.

The family unit is still very strong in India and that can put limitations not only on girls but boys as well. Even parents for that matter. The amount of sacrifice the Indian parent does for their child is not common to all cultures/ countries.

No one is saying teach Hindu women about religion so that they do not convert.
Teach Hindu boys and girls so that they can answer queries about their religion by people from proselytising religions confidently and without being apologetic.

And please do not say proselytisation is not part of those religions.

Comparing Bajrang to ISIS seriously?!

No one can insult God more than the believers when they depict Him to be so powerless and incapable of protecting and healing...

This is what happens when you leave God and concentrate on human.. Nothing human can give you except stress, headache, problem, troubles, pain, worry on worldly issues, depression etc..

Ask that to people who are hellbent on converting others and who have proselytisation as one of the ways to achieve eternal life in heaven(whatever that means).

Religion is only about God, how to connect Him, how to worship Him, how to gain His pleasure.. How to be with Him in paradise... I dont know why these human like to make it about another human being, the message is lost and who is giving the message, example prophet is what they concentrate on.. I think they read the book from human point of view and never God....

Plus language is a barrier... For example Quran and hadith is both Arabic, and message given by same prophet.. But the accent, style of speaking are completely different... You can never read the hadith the same poetic way the way you can read the Quran..

A belief system isn't easy to put in 'drawers' but most religions try to do that with the books and set of rules. It's - maybe - something that evolution gave to the human brain: to compartmentalize...to deal with the chaos that - most probably - reigns over the Universe.

The ability to do that is - in general - given to any human brain but it is the life-surroundings and genetics that determine how one does it.

Mostly, people strive for 'simple' solutions if there is a problem but make it complicate because of whatever reasons.

I don't know if the movie shows that the three girls whom the fourth one - the Muslim one - tries to 'prepare' for conversion tactics, have negative gut-feeling towards that (feeling uneasiness or hesitation or a sort of reluctance)...because our inner system (especially the female one) has an alarm system independent of reasoning.

Teenagers everywhere are susceptible to all kinds of bad choices. Making mistakes, being betrayed are part of life lessons which help you grow as an adult. But restricting their freedom of choice is not the correct answer. Supporting them, educating them and constantly being a confidant in your teenager's life is all that you can do as an adult. Treating fully grown girls as children unable to make up their own mind inhibits their growth and prevents them from taking independent decisions as an adult. They'll have low self-worth and constantly look to parents for important life decisions. And that's just what patriarchy wants.

Religious nuts and fanatic cults exist in every religion in India. And they target not only other religions but moderates from their own religion. Face a financial reversal, sickness, loneliness in a new city, some personal trauma...they'll approach you through a sympathetic friend/colleague. They exploit the loop holes created when your own religion, family and community let you down and isn't supportive enough. Too often religion focuses on the ceremonies and rituals and not on the needs of the individual.

What I see is two extremists trying to fight with each other for their religion. People are susceptible to all kinds of Manipulations and brainwashing, teaching someone something about religion so they can answer the questions and don't get enrolled into ISIS is the most bizarre answer to a question of recruitment in terror organization

People do things for all sorts of reason from being in a vulnerable position in life to simply being rebellious, young minds are impressionable

This whole discourse is targeted towards women to restrict them even more

Bajrang Dal is a militant organisation, it wasn't compared to ISIS which is a terror outfit.

I don't understand why they think they need to control any aspect of God or religion. Hindu religion has been there since Vedic ages, we are doing quite well without incels telling us what to do
