And i didn't mean to say Murtesim didn't try, we all know he tried his best, going against MB. But what we are not noticing is change in Merub. Let's consider 3 situations of forced marriages:

1) Me-Mu nikaah - until the moment she was expected to say Qubool hai, nobody knew she would back off. She didn't let Murtesim know what she's planning to do!

2) Nayla's nikaah - there she tried few times to communicate with Murtesim, he was rude & she didn't give in either! She ended up insulting him at panchaayat!

3) Maryam's mohobbat - for a change, this time Merub was not rude with Murtesim, she explained things in every possible way & unlike other times, she didn't say Murtesim is lying about Anas, she just said there might be a misunderstanding... She tried everything for Maryam that she couldn't do for herself! I'm not justifying her helping Maryam elope, she did hurt Murtesim by doing that & she deserves punishment for that!

And when she knew she did a grave mistake by sending Maryam with MZ, she didn't for once explained her side, instead accepted it as only her fault & PRAYED FOR MARYAM'S SAFETY & MURTESIM'S IZZAT!

@bold: Haya hurts everyone! Didn't she hurt MB by her kaala jaadu etc? Didn't she hurt Maryam by forcing her into the marriage which was supposed to be hers? Didn't she hurt Murtesim by twisting facts which made him ask Merub to go, after accident? She imitates MB & meets Naurez secretly (against their khandani rules)! She hurts everyone around her for her selfish "love"!

And I'm not explaining Merub's side bcz it's female, it's just that i can relate to her trauma to a certain extent...

I wouldn’t waste my energies on Haya . She is not the end game so let her do what she wants to do..does not matter in greater scheme of things …moreover she is not the main FL, she is evil so nothing else is expected from her whereas from Meerab who has the most loving husband certain things are expected
